@Foam and Lizards, Add some springtails to the nest and you can reduce the potential issues with mold. Also, if you want. You can make a new outworld with an Orchid plant inside. Why an orchid? They produce sugar drops on the leaves. Which may be of interest to any insect. This can also be the bioactive section of a set-up. Of course, I suggest merely a centimetre of soil to prevent the ants from moving in there. Orchids are plants that can grow in the air, so they do not need soil. Just some bark to protect their stem. Plus, having a bioactive section will allow Springtails to have a place to stay and become the future garbage disposal area. Just a few notions I have on it.

So one of the biggest mistakes new and keepers usually will make is they’ll give the ants actually too much space and so that nest that you made is way too much space for the amount of ants you have and if you put them in there you’ll probably end up losing them and they’ll probably die and if you were to keep them in the test tube they came in they probably would’ve been fine for a while longer so I would move them into a smaller nest not that big one

I've never kept ants so I kind of freaked out when I saw all of the wide openings in their enclosure. lol I can't wait to see how they progress. Also, since I'm a big WoW nerd, how about "Kaldorei Empire" for the colony name? Seems right with the queen being Azshara. (I would have called her ANTshara because I'm corny like that :P ) Enjoy your break!

hey man, I would say small bromilliads and ferns. But the best way to know is to find out where your animals come from and figure out what plants grow in that era! I dont actually know alot about plants yet, still learning;) Good luck!
