Hardlocking, to the best of my memory, is used for when you get permanently stuck, forcing you to completely reset the game and your progress to fix. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You can spawn outside the lava pool in the last seed by setting your respawn radius to a higher number, it is 10 by default. Before creating the world, you have to go to game rules and set the respawn radius option to a higher number. Doing that you will spawn above the surface(probably).

It doesn’t really require cheats. The allow cheats option maybe off, it is just a change in the respawn radius which will allow you to spawn outside the lava pool. You can still play that world in Vanilla Survival without cheats.

The reason why only the top 3 blocks spawn is that the game tried to replace the ground a bit, to make the rim of the portal flush with the ground. If it tries to spawn the portal at 0 0 0 however, it tried to spawn the blocks where the void is and thus where no blocks can exist

clearly you just need to wait long enough in that final seed: -wolf->attacks->skeleton->misses wolf->hits->creeper->explodes->repeat eventually the game itself will excavate you from your lava prison there are probably many more ways for a creeper to ignite without player input that i'm forgetting like using trident-drowned or pillagers missing villagers, or trader-lamas missing zombies even less likely might be a creeper igniting for whatever reason releasing a silver fish who can then be hit by a missed shot from a skeleton/drowned/pillager, this could release more silverfish; after disposing of the foe, many silver fish will enter new stone blocks, but as long as another silverfish is accidentally shot before they all re-enter blocks, the cycle can continue and the silverfish can continue their digging. This could also supplement the creeper method as infested stone has much lower blast resistance than stone

I'm only at 3:03 but this is why I liked the way I remember 1.7.x being where the end portal it's self would only spawn after the dragon was defeated however I remember also back then it would spawn where ever the dragon died so it would end up floating I think... however I personally think this could easily be fixed by making sure the portal spawned after the dragons death and only on the nearest surface point. however there could be other issues with this idea but it's just an idea.

i have a feeling there is a way to get out of the lava pit. but i cannot confirm. but however, another way is to install the "Minecraft Calender" data pack I made last year that "freezes" lava near the player into orange stained glass during Minecraft winter. And since the first day of a Minecraft year is January 0th/1st, that counts as during winter, thus, freezing the lava, and allowing you to step out easily

It is a shame that this glitch exists when it would be easy to fix. Since it checks for a block to spawn the portal on, and since a failed spawn of the portal base still leaves the center pole, have a variable set initially to indicate a failed spawn of the portal. If it finds a block to spawn the portal on, the variable is changed to indicate a successful spawn location found. After placing the center pillar at the end, check the value of the variable. If it indicates an unsuccessful spawn location, try again. The 2nd time it would find the pillar and spawn the portal on that.

only other way I can think of to "fix" the problem (and one anyone can use if they wish) would be to get in to creative and "build a portal" though I'm not sure how to do that on bedrock now, Java it's easy enough (even with a locked to survival world and there are a ton of videos on that), and the old console editions you'd need to logout of the world to swap it to creative ( but who uses that still? I mean I swapped to Java just before 1.15 dropped because they stopped updates on them and I don't blame them a bit) though honestly I can't remember if you can even get the portal blocks on console or not since you have to use give in Java to get them now, same with the overworld portal blocks to "fix" that side when it breaks (though if I'm playing in survival I'd at least try to check the other strongholds first).

Can you activate the swimming position in lava? I have been able to swim out of water and into a 1 high gap before. Where does the bonus chest spawn? You could try loading the world in peaceful mode or getting the game to glitch so that it moves your spawn position. I have had several games glitch before and spawn me somewhere far from the original world spawn, there wasn't a bed placed when it happened. What I am pretty sure would work is loading the game in 1.16 and making sure all the chunks have completely loaded in, then quitting the game and switch to an earlier version, then using older glitches to get out, then going to the Minecraft save folder and deleting the spawn chunk and let it recreate itself normally. You aren't "cheating" in the sense that you are using legitimate bugs in earlier versions, then you are getting somewhere safe, then you are deleting chunks so anything from another version is gone, except your location in the world.
