the last time vikram malhotra and his abundantia entertainment came together with actor vidya balan & director anu menon it was for a film i liked very much. #shakuntaladevi . now its anu channeling her inner love for agatha christie & whodunnits. she grew up reading poirot and marple & lives in the UK waiting for the annual christmas whodunnit release. the castle in scotland is as much a character in her film neeyat as any played by her actors. vidya is splendid as the plane jane detective. the other actors are a motley crew. menon acknowledges it isnt easy to write dialogues for her and thats whay the admiration for kausar munir & what shes done here. plus mikey mclearys background score & songs are always stellar.
