Crash Twinsanity 100% Run - Bandicoot Pursuit

Cortex is in trouble and you have to save him again. This level has a very funny glitch in the beginning (yes, evil Crash chases his tail). The level isn't a challenge, you have to be fast and pay attention. I grabbed the green gem at first, but I had to go back for the blue gem.
I made a little cheat for the red gem. It's easier this way.

Hey my copy does that hmm it is definitely a forgotten bug in the PAL version, wow was the testers bored stiff and didn't give a damn what slipped through the game to release day? Does anyone know the cause of this bug and why it got left in because clearly this ain't right. Cortex is chased by nobody in the first part so why is he running? This occurs a lot, he's running from nothing, Evil Crash spontaneously disappears.

This game is a buggy, rushed and unfinished mess so it's likely they might've missed it. As for why it happens I'm not so sure. But you might be able to ask GameHut (the owner of traveller's tales).
