The only point I wonder is about the Toy Train, suppose I am only visiting Kasauli for a day or two, can I enjoy the Toy Train because for that I have to take ticket and travel to Shimla which is not in my itinerary and it will take much of my time for a round about. So, is there any short to & fro travel on Toy Train.

Yes you can but toy train from kalka to shimla is fun Otherwise you can skip it

We can go there without own vehicle also. You can reach Chandigarh and then take a bus from there to Kasauli.
