Actually KTM as a brand has been organising many events under their Pro XP programme which includes highway rides, offroad academy & trail rides, RC cup etc to promote safe rides and skilled riders. Luckily the so called squids will not be part of these as they will allow only riders with full riding gear and stuffs. Another thing KTM needs to do is to increase the price of their models but as a business that is not a fair option for them and these people will have access to second hand market as well. So its a mindset of the people who are riding it and nothing can be done to educate these fools if they're not willing.

I have FZS v2 rear disk, very good sporty commuter. FZs are good starter bikes, will give you that sporty feel, along with mileage. Don't worry about others comments, its a good bike and a good decision.

Your charge light on the gauges will illuminate when you turn ignition on, before you start the engine (so you can check it works) and then generally will only illuminate if the charging system is discharging while operating. It won't tell you if the battery is dying/faulty. The alternator or regulator/rectifier can also become faulty, causing it to discharge, I've seen a few people complain about the location of the reg/rec as it's under the bike and hard to access if you don't have a bike lift/centre stand.

Totally agree with your comment on Duke 390. It is my dream bike, i got it in August and loving every bit of it. I did initially heard comments like chapri bike and all. I felt bad initially, however joy of bike riding overtook shrewd comments. I strongly believe in clint eastwood saying, ‘opinions are assholes, everyone has one’.
