Hey Bobo see that Gracie Kellys bar you went past on Jl Kartika Plaza? That was where the funny dwarfs used to work from time-to-time. Are they still there? Funny guys. Yuk gitu Anvayanya ialah higher-end and thus pricey but it is right in front of Kuta Reef and the airport reefs, and a short-ish walk around to Kuta/Legian/Seminyak. The cheap Febris is across the road which is good for your last day/night to stay over there waiting for your plane's late takeoff time (or stay there longer). The airport is close. Febris restaurant is cheap and good too - the outside undercover seating area is surprisingly pleasant if you are out of the sun. It's the usual story - if you pay and can get a poolside room at these high-end hotels it's great (book early). Higher levels are more of a chore but are often a bit cheaper. But the higher rooms also have less mosquitos. Beautiful hotel the Anvaya but you never have to leave which defeats the purpose of an Indonesian holiday! Warning: Ground and 1st floor balconies with plants everywhere can be mosquito pits (it depends on how often the hotel sprays). Thanks Bobo! Please try to show us family rooms whenever you can.
