One of the best journalist who interviews in a professional manner and without getting into an argument or pushing the interviewee into a belligerent environment. However among all the answers by kakar, his role in importing wheat was unforgiveable. I agree support price was higher as opposed to international price of wheat and local governments should allow the open market to settle the price of wheat. Kakar knew that a bumper crop of wheat was expected and farmers had purchased fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides at much higher price than farmers across the border. The elected government fixed the support price at rupees 3900 and the farmer hoping to be reimbursed in a reasonable manner kakar"s government scraped the sport price and imported substandard wheat. This caused the farmers to sustain heavy losses and probably would take some time to recover.

It is heartbreaking that a high school pass military general is seen as the emperor of Pakistan. This joker who was caretaker PM talks with such reverence about the chief. In no normal country would an army chief be the determinant of the country's destination and a PM albeit caretaker is giving credit to a general for being "so kind" to defer to his request. God help the country and its people.
