Based on my experience as an expat in Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam - I have noticed that Malaysia is a far more resilient, people are more determined to achieve success, they have excellent English communications skills which are better than that of the Philippines but not quite that of Singapore. Also the attitude of Malaysians are far more consistent and reliable compared with all the other nations I have stayed in. Malaysia is going through a challenge now. But they have the necessary people and technical skills to remain at the top of South East Asia for economic and political supremacy.

Well, I had said it once, I will say it again. Malaysia itself have no big issues from a governance standpoint, much scandals are political scandals, just like what the "Russian bots" did in 2016 US elections. What is clear is, we need new blood, new generation of people being able to navigate Malaysia through the challenges today. I didn't think a 60 year old person would cut it, let alone a near-centennial. Whether one party or another, the top authority are still the same people, some whom had remained more than 50 years. As long as these men are still grasping on to power, Malaysia will not likely be able to make full transition and adapt well towards a modern, globalised future. I truly believe in change of people among the leadership, not a badge or a party. I believe the fight for "Reformasi" is still not over.

Mahathir scolded abdullah badawi then najib so how does anwar, once sacked and persecuted by mahathir ever stand a chance?? IMHO, mahathir will stay as PM for full course of GE14 then in GE15, BN may retake Putrajaya cos people are fed up with PH due to non fulfilment of election promises, lots of infighting within PH component parties, plenty of useless petty people in PH with fake degrees and prices are still expensive even after PH won. Why bother re-electing PH if things hardly change in terms of what really matters to the rakyat? Forget about 1MDB, that is old news already. People have short memory and people will vote in terms of what really affects them in their daily lives not some slush fund where some several billions were purportedly stolen. When another crisis happens, will he be the right guy to make the call? Also, he is not consistent with his rhetoric. Anwar preaches about free market policies, but then believes in fuel subsidies. He talks about reform and good governance , but when desperate was willing to reinstate royal immunity to shore up support from the Agong - during bersih 1 or 2. Amiin.

Malaysia is not doing as well as she should, Malaysia steal 100s billions oil and gas from Sabah and Sarawak yearly, and have improverised them to become the poorest states in the country, yet she is in financial dificulties. Malaysia was in bar with South Korea in the 1980s, S.Korea has way surpassed Malaysia now, Singapore is way ahead of Malaysia after decoupled from her in 1964. Thailand and the rest of South East Asian countries are catching up now despite of not having oil resources. Malaysia has been feeding the crippled Malay citizens for too long, they will continue to be disaster for the country. They only demand how to share the cake but not willing or too lazy to give effort to make the cake. I foreseen Malaysia will fall behind most of S.E.Asia countries in coming years including the Philippine, Indonesia and Thailand if she continue with her racist constitution and policy. Malaysia is one of the two countries in the world that has not endorse the UN charter against human and race discrimination. They tried to endorse last year but was uncivilly pressured to abandon by the Malay. Good luck Malaysia, you should not forget the hands that feed you, Sabah and Sarawak people deserve better education, infrastructure and living condition. Best is stop stealing their god given oil and gas resources, return what have been stolen from them.
