YES! Messages of safely absolutely help with anxiety and depression. How do I know? Because I have CPTSD and it's helping! I'm recovering from the narcissistic abuse I endured as a child and anybody who understands narcissistic abuse - especially when you're a child - knows how serious that is. So, if it helps with that, it will help with any kind of anxiety... or any root cause of anxiety.

They do help. They help me. And because of that, I'm beginning to be able to see the true possibility of my future - to live healthier, wealthier, and happier. When the fear subsides, things just start falling into place. For me, anxiety, symptoms, thoughts, and anything we feel is negative in nature, is fired by our afraid little brain that's perceiving danger. The thing is, I'm convinced it is this because I'm getting better these days. For example, I'm seeing the possibility that my new narrative is beginning to change, you know, the narrative that "my brain is perceiving danger" to "my brain is starting to get my consistent and authentic messages of safety." I always remind myself, feeling anything uncomfortable now in my body are just a part of me recovering from chronic fear that I just discovered I've been in fear state for long time. Take your time. Relax. Have the accurate knowledge, do what makes you feel good, keep watching Dan, and let this comment be a reminder that you're not broken. We're actually okay. Always been. We just forgot.

To anybody that needs to hear this: If you find yourself struggling to find a reason to look forward to the future or look forward to the world wondering if there's going to be anything worthwhile at the end just remember that even if there's nobody waiting for you at the end of the finish line and no matter what the future brings *you can always look forward TO YOURSELF* . That's a promise you can always keep. Nobody else has the right to tell you different. Good luck.

I rush all the time. Like i'm in a state of emergency. My thoughts are going, tendency toward ruminating on things/ people from the past. Even household chores, or driving. There's a sense of urgency. So Dan's words to slow down your thinking, your breathing, your movements, this is a simple change but hard to learn after a lifetime of rushing and being raised by a mother who was driven, perpetually rushing, overworked, angry and resentful. Practice, practice. When i deliberately stop and consciously slow everything down, it is like soothing medicine to my whole being. It is self love, compassion.

I was the same Dee! But with slowing down, I’m astonished to see how much I missed of real life, with all the rushing and to do tasks.. my head was never in the present! In the beginning slowing down made me feel worse because of the stress chemicals.. now I know I never want to go back being miss speedy😄! I love slowing down and taking time to do things or just postpone them to the next day hahaha. Have a wonderful day ❤

I can totally relate. I can rush and do things with speed and just robotically move through tasks. One day I caught myself as I was mixing cake ingredients. I came into the present moment and watched with wonder as the eggs, sugar and butter swirled around. It was a beautiful sight. We miss all these extraordinary moments when our main goal is just to get through the task and on to the next thing on our burdensome To Do list.

Yes, my nervous system is in overdrive right now and knowing that I can talk to my brain in the same manner as many do for pain gives me HOPE. Thank you Dan, love your videos. My goal is to heal and to become a future success story , Merci beaucoups. 😊

Truly appreciate this message Dan. Realizing that resisting the fear/anxious feeling & facing it & accepting it was the turning point recently for me. Reacting to the already "reactive" sensations only perpetuated more of the same. The bottom line was an unconscious belief ""I'm not safe"...this created the emotion of fear & this was reflected back as sensations in the body & thoughts of the same type...I identified with the belief. But changing the script to "I am safe" whilst repeatedly living life & showing limby this to be true, facing emotions & learning to love all aspects of self...slowly but steadily system is settling. To anyone reading this keep going. Much love to all who are on this journey. ❤

I feel like if I could get a handle on anxiety/depression that all the other symptoms are managable with a safe, calm, hopeful attitude. Anymore my only focus is to stay in control of my response when the panic attacks hit because they take over my body and mind and it puts me in pure survival mode and in my animal brain.

Psychiatry and psychology didn't work for me because that started with the idea there was something wrong. There wasn't anything wrong. Nobody ever addressed my situation. One doctor saw it, but was overruled. My situation gave me anxiety and the inability to get out of that situation gave me depression. Anxiety was my good friend that was telling me to watch out. Being fearless is not great. Fearless leads to dying.

100 percent agree that the medical system traumatized me. Not intentionally. But nobody ever suggested mind body to me. It really does teach you to become even more hypervigilant and focus on symptoms and restrict, and feel broken.💔 if someone had told me this years ago it would have saved so much heartache.
