43 mins in and they have referenced at least 4 M.R.James stories, if you know that author. Seamlessly. Fantastic! The author was a classic ghost story writer of the late 1800s/early 1900s. This is really well made!

This film is so well done. Acting, directing, filming, editing are only second to the intriguing story line.

Yikes, that ending took me by surprise!! Took a long time to really get going. D***!! I thought it was a sweet YA ghost story for awhile, but it sure veered off into the dark, dark! Good acting by the girl and boy leads and the villains were villainous. The lead girl was very lovely and sad. Quite an interesting film.

Idk what to say about this movie... it's extremely lame yet interesting at the same time. It's the bad editing and acting (the aunt and uncle) for me, or things like: "They decided to make a decision" @54:12. That make me go 🧐🤔. BUT, overall it was not just GOOD but EXCELLENT enough to keep me watching! The ending was crazy unexpected!😊

Bad acting. I recall showing someone a clip of air force pilots and saying it was from a movie. The same criticism came up - very badly acted. Except there were real air force personel running through a full scale war exercise. What we think of as "good acting" is in fact highly stylized, like a modern equivalent of the overblown gestures of the old silent movies. Next time you see real people interact, imagine you are watching a movie. You will find their acting pretty bad as well.
@peterbamforth64533 жыл бұрын
I forced myself to watch all of this,It wasn't easy, like watching paint dry.The acting was dire and wooden.The direction and script bloody awful.Only the last 5 minutes made it worthwhile. A big 4/10.

there's so much to "unpack" from this movie. It's absolutely terrible... and yet not. The acting is awful, and yet not. The story line is macabre, and makes no sense, and yet... spoilers the last scene... that was some cooked body there. I'm thinking turkey. I suppose you don't want to hurt kids by telling them theyre supposed to be eating living human flesh, but it couldn't have gotten much more fake. And there's something wrong with the girl actress. She can't seem to close her upper lip to her bottom, or even move it for that matter. And that boys hair. Okay, I'm done.

@immrnoidall3 жыл бұрын
@@henrifischer1119 Pebbles or carrots ? Pebbles and/or carrots, are not units of measurement commonly used to accurately measure distance . Pebbles and/or carrots vary in size . Someone would first need to calculate the average size of pebbles and/or carrots, to know how many pebbles and/or carrots there are in a "light years" .As far as I know, no one has. So, pebbles an/or carrots, are absolutely not the same as saying "millions of miles" . And, it was her father that said "millions of miles". She was only quoting him.
