In case people happen to need this information, if you have the original North America Square 1 (green/white/red/blue/yellow/orange), the main axle adjustment screw is on the yellow side, pretty much directly behind the Q of the Square 1 sticker.

Easy. Break off one half of the circle, make half of the layer, and turn it then do / (move up twice). Then slide half of the layer into the piece, do / again, and slide the half onto the other side, /, and then 2 layers will be fixed. There should be a half of a circle, so place the four pieces there, then get the other half circle, place the four remaining pieces onto that, put the half circle in, and press down on those pieces. Hopefully this fixed your cube!

Yes, I am very sure. But if you want to be more careful, loosen the screw on the side a couple of wrist turns, then you can pull an entire edge out, then do the method he shows with the corners.

They all do come apart. If you're not willing to force them apart, you can save those edges until last and you'll still be able to reassemble it normally.

There's only one way to tension it, which is in the center layer. Are you sure it's looser than normal?

Well, I have a Calvin's puzzle Square-1. Not to be a turd or anything, but it DOES come apart differently. You have to either pull it apart, pull out one of the edges, then repeat, then do the corners, or you can solve it too fast and pop it.

I CANT REASSEMBLE IT HELP Edit: I put it back together, but for some reason one layer is looser and when I do a slice move, it gets even looser. I tried tightening it but nothing happened. I NEED MORE HELP (Note: this was happening before i disassembled it. I assumed my classmate screwed up the tensions or whatever but that's not what happened)

Are you talking about the upper/lower layer or the slice layer? On the two opposite layers, you’ll sometimes find a small screw perpendicular to the main one that holds them in place. On the slice layer, core stripping is a big problem on a lot of older square-1’s that unfortunately can’t be fixed very easily, t other than just avoiding making the cube too loose.
