I think part of it too is interviewing has advanced and relaxed a lot since then. Back then there was super production and high pressure as opposed to something chill like this.

I literally wondered if Nas still believed that hip hop was dead in 2019, and I expected him to answer in a similar fashion, mentioning artists like J Cole and Kendrick carrying the torch. I am somewhat surprised that he mentioned Drake considering how commercial his music is yet he does have his moments.
