What a beautiful, strong voice. I love music, I always have. I did vocals in a band called Cliques out of Austin in the late 70s at the innocent age of 19. I'm 64 now, I still remember 80% of the lyrics and the point that I needed to come in. I live alone, retired after 36 years as a meat cutter, I sang at work and I still sing every single day. I remember exactly what I was doing and where I was when I 1st heard a song. Music is a time machine, I go back my youth ,when I thought I could do anything. Now ,at 64, the hardest part is admitting that I cant😮

Get a computer. Get Reaper or another DAW. Get some backing tracks. And record some vocals and back up harmonies. It is easy to do. And you can be having even more fun.

Have never seen Tedeschi Trucks Band but I saw the Allman Brothers Band play the 50th anniversary show at RR back in 2009 with Tedeschi and her playing appears to have gotten light years better since. Either that or she just wasn’t called upon to show off the chops since she was just a guest performer for that show but either way, she rips.

Consider yourself very luck as was i back in 1970 when i saw Duane & the original band at RFK Stadium for the fest The Berlin Airlift when Grand Funk was the top bill & lots of local Washing DC bands along with some fairly unknown guys called The Allman Brothers Band , no many folks knew who they were but after the first song everyone there knew who the were !!!! Saw them one other time at American University which to my surprise is now on CD & one show i never thought i would hear again. Best band i've ever seen & at 67 i've seen the greats when they were still new & all those awesome albums that went along with them. Started playing guitar when i was 11 & still play today. Lots of great inspirations & many hours of woodshedding along with 5 years of lessons has got me through life & who knows had i never seen these greats where i would have ended up. I would like to share a track of my own though it started out in 74 as a jam it turned into this instrumental . If you have time please give a listen & feel free to leave me a comment on the site. We old bones need to stick together as this was & is our generations music. Rock On !! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHnNYWece7mlkKs

Hey kids, pay attention here. This is what real music, and musicianship is all about. No fireworks, or smoke-bombs, or prancing around the stage. This band is probably the best live band touring right now, and it's no coincidence that they're carrying on the Allman Brothers tradition of playing extremely tight, but musical songs.

I’d have to respectfully disagree about the best band touring. They are fantastic no doubt but Blackberry Smoke is absolutely killing it in their shows. Between Charlie Starr and Benji Shanks, the guitar work is unrivaled and the vocals of Charlie Star and harmonies of Paul Jackson are superb. If you haven’t seen BBS live, do yourself a favor and go see them. I know this is all personal opinion so don’t be offended but just my personal opinion. I guess that could be the reason I favor them and for the Southern Rock and Country influences. They are all great guys and so humble. My local luthier owns a guitar shop in the small town that I live in and he works on Paul Jackson’s guitars and is also a good friend of Benji Shanks (I think I spelled his name correctly). I've had the pleasure and good fortune to see this band three times over the past 15+ years. There is no musician/singer other than Susan that I've enjoyed watching develop and mature. I use the analagy of laying down a case of red wine and every few years opening a bottle to see how it has develpoed, matured and developed. She's soulful, raspy, smooth, tasteful all at the same time. One of a kind.

Seeing the Chevy commercials many times and loving the music thought it was an old song by Chicago that I never heard because of the horns and thought it was a male singer until I saw this concert jammin. -- Philly Love

Bravo amazing as always. And the best venue there is. Truly excellent group top notch musicianship. Surely Duane, Barry, Greg, and Butch would be smiling down on them without a doubt.

I would never have imagined I would listen to Statesboro Blues 50yrs after buying The Allman Bros. Live at the Fillmore and enjoy it as much. Enjoyed the Tedeschi Trucks Band at The Paramount in Seattle and they are a must see.

Susan is my heart and soul. She is my first go to when I need my therapy. I sing right along with her. Susan and Joni forever. What I would do to sing on stage with her. What an honor that would be.
