Hi, the page is no longer accessible. Do you still have it? Im doing research for my university.

@@mattY0UNG this is 8 years old. AnyLogic has since natively integrated far more powerful GIS capabilities. No need to research this old stuff

@@Simulation101 Thank you for answering. I hope I dont bother you. Do you have perhaps have any Idea if there is a way of creating agents from shapefiles?
@Simulation1015 ай бұрын
@@mattY0UNG sure, via custom Java code. It's not trivial but possible, starting from reading them shape file as outlined in the talk

@@Simulation101Dear sir, thank you for the quick response, you are really helpful. Is it alright for you if I take your comment into my research findings/ sources?

Nice talk. I'd just like to mention that these possibilities are at the core of the open-source GAMA Platform (gama-platform.org) since at least 8 years.

Hi Alexis, glad you liked the talk. Thanks a lot for sharing the link, I have to say it looks very impressive :-) I am no expert in GAMA but the advantage of AnyLogic is that it applies Java (i.e. you can add any Java library for any purpose) and that you can mix and match non-ABM techniques such as system dynamics and discrete event process modelling. How does GAMA compare?
