No worries Jake, you’ll find your path to success on the platform. The good thing is that you tried out the game and noticed early on that it isn’t for you.

I got into it hardcore for an min and recently realized how much I overspent to hit SUB’s and stack points. I never carried a balance but I still purchased crap I truly didn’t need. I ended up keeping two cards. One for the travel perks/insurances/credits etc and one that has 2x minimum. closed everything else. I already own my home so the dip in my credit score will bounce back. I was happy to just simplify everything again. Good luck with your channel and wherever it will take you. Love your personality so you will entertain on this channel whatever route you may take

I’ll tell you how it happened. Are you using any of those apps that automatically activate all of your offers/rewards on your cards? Did you give them your credentials to your Chase account and other accounts so they could get access to do this? They didn’t use Plaid or Fincity did they? Are you seeing where this is going? Also, as a CC KZbinr, how do you not have your credit reports frozen at all three bureaus already? That hard pull never should have gone through. Go do that immediately!
@jakemercure3 ай бұрын
Had all of them except Experian frozen for a recent Ink application that was denied. Forgot to unfreeze.

@@jakemercure Had a "cash advance" charged to me on my personal Marriott credit card at the Cairo airport last year. - they dropped it right away as I did not do this and never had a cash advance in my life - the trouble was I had to get a new number and change some of the automatic withdraws.
@steve_rogers_usmc19903 ай бұрын
This is so true, so many leaks in the CC industry and online shopping platforms it is a wonder there isn't more fraud. I recently had an Experian pull for credit I didn't apply for and thankfully Chase stopped the card, and I then froze all my reports.

Yeah man, you are right about this. I do feel like maybe it is a tough gig/hobby to maintain. Plus, the whole info being out there is a bit of a concern. I won’t be cancelling my current cards but it does give me some hesitation to applying for others. Thanks for sharing. You are wise beyond your years for being able to adapt to your situation. And yeah keep making videos about whatever. Do your thing, my good man.

Once you take that Emirates first class flight, you're going to change your mind REALL quick 🤣🤣 Flying the A380 is definitely a bucket list of mine. I think what happens to some people in this space is that they get burned out for a while and then when they go on a vacation with an awesome redemption, they are rejuvenated. Similar to a novelist, they go on a writer's block and then they go on a vacation and get reinspired again. That's what I see when it comes to credit cards also. You'll be reinspired one day haha.
@iamevan15603 ай бұрын
not that far into credit cards and i feel this a bit. like you touched upon before i think the biggest drain is the high annual fee cards that take more to juggle. you get a bigger sign up bonus but way more draining. i still have some zero annual fee cards i want in my rotation but i think my higher annual fees will be more spread

Life is about simplicity. I had over 13 credit cards until about 6 months ago when I just got tired of managing the spend on all of them and yes you DO subconsciously spend especially if there is a sub to meet. Now, I have 6 and looking to close one or two more. All my cards have a purpose and the ones that do not go bye bye. Good luck in your future endeavors!

I’ve been in the game off and on from about 2010. You get bored of it, returns drop. I picked up the game again in 2017 and again around 2021. It’s great because your credit ages, new product gets rolled out. It’s ok to put it down and come back years later. Like you said interests change, life happens, credit cards will still be here when you get the itch again.

Burnout is real. After several years of day trading, in 2021 I went 100% NVDA then started getting a new credit card every month. It's work, but this week I'm playing in the snow in Bariloche, Argentina, and flying from one resort spot to another on points and miles. Might burn out on credit card churning later this year.

I think where Most ppl spend (to make PTS game worthwhile) are large purchases and traveling. If ur not doing much of either don’t even bother with game.
