I literally don't know how to comment. That's a first for me. Tobias, you are in such fine tune with the art it's actually on another level. The blood that runs through your veins is causing your hands to perform that of an art we can only view. From being a cardist myself since 2005 I can easy say that you have taken this to a different understanding. I can't begin to imagine how far you can go. But I'll sure be here for the journey and I'm 100% going to love watching the blossom. Thank you for making this. You have an amazing ability to inspire us.

We are still in the very beginning stages of this artform, cardistry is getting more and more noticed by normal people i've noticed nowadays, where 10 years ago I had to explain what cardistry was to alot of people I first met. Imagine in the next 100 years how far cardistry will go, the new generation of cardists, the new moves, can't wait. Funny story I have about how I got into cardistry, I remember the first time I met an OG in the cardistry community by complete coincidence once, don't know if he wants his name put out there though. Anyways I was only into magic at first, then I met this guy completely randomly in a city, friends with Zach Mueller, Nikolaj, Tobias, etc. I showed him my magic tricks and he figured them all out, then he showed me his cardistry and it just blew my mind, he was doing moves I've never seen and he said he invented some of them that only he and a few others knew. I was a cocky 17 year old kid into card magic decently but couldn't do a revolution cut, and for the first time ever someone was clearly on a whole other level in front of me. He was extremely humble as well, I remember he would be like " it's just a hobby", "i mean it's just cards" when I would be like how the fuck. I wanted to get to that level where I could do cardistry and be like, "yeah it's just cards just a hobby" while doing complicated flourishes I had no idea who the hell this guy was, so when he left, I googled his name and I found out he was friends with all these other OGs, I got so inspired, cardistry has been my main hobby for the past 3 years and I've also met one of my best friends from a card meetup. Also I did just smoke a joint and go down memory lane

I love the fact that this video isn't the one people were probably expecting it to be. Cardistry needs more of this... it doesn't always need to be about bangers and new moves. Thank you Tobias!

to be fair, tobias is probably one of the only few that can make combo moves look this good
@thefeel22613 жыл бұрын
@@Proactionguy Very true, he is truly on another level that I can only dream to reach. Absolute god-tier combos also i noticed in this video that there were some mechanics that seem so simple yet it feels so unique and new to my brain, the grips transfers are absolutely insane as well particularly the ones from 3:21 up to 3:24 its just so logical. Also there was this move on 3:57 right as he does “Whip” he opens the top packet and rotates the bottom packet around his left thumb, idk why, maybe im still just really a noob at cardistry (been doing it for about 4 years now), this move when you think about it seems so simple yet somehow it seems so new and unqiue in my head. It never occured to me once to even incorporate that to my combos. The grip transfers and the seemingly simple mechanics just feels like they make so much sense yet I would have never thought about doing them.

It's videos like this that make you want to pick up a deck of cards. Not to impress anybody, not to prove anything to anyone, but because you just love cardistry. There's always that therapeutic element to cardistry that keeps us coming back day after day, and this is a perfect encapsulation of that element in its purest form. Poetry in motion. What a wonderful viewing experience.
