I must say, your videos on Maleghast have inspired me to write up a setting for tabletop skirmishes between color coordinated factions of my own. I'm getting thirteen factions of demons lined up to duke it out in Hell itself. Just finished getting the faction concepts down, the framework for units and competitive balance, and the combat system.

​​@@Helik4888Sorry for the late reply. Was busy figuring out just what I [exactly] wanted the system to be, and now I've done that and finalized the faction gimmicks. While it will take some time to nail down the specifics, the gist of it will be that it is a simplified version of D&D 4e mechanics. Each faction will have a unit based on the monster classifications, and can have a mix of Round/Match/Recharge abilities, "armor" will serve as damage reduction and have it's own hit-points (similar to D&D's stoneskin), and the player can equip units with equipment and consumables (which may be universal or faction exclusive) during the preparation phase using a points system.

Also on that last turn, couldnt the exorcist have bodyblocked the attack using his inquisitor?

@speedrunnercaliorda2787 Akimbo got both a high roll on On-Hit and the Effect, which on a 4+ for Effect lets it target another unit; I would've been caught in the next-target shots regardless. ... I also misplaced my Holy Body, or that could've blocked/gave its own Vitality (see its Ablutions' effect) and let me have another turn to gamble on Starmetal Greatsword every Exorcist has, maybe getting some more damage off, or getting quickly shot in the face by ANYTHING the Operator does on the immediate next turn.

I commend your opponent for not running the usual Abhorror strat of putting the Neco in the corner and spamming vitality tokens until round 4, but I also question their wisdom of running their exoricist up to your Black Mass completely alone

Is the Exorcist going first in round 4 a faction ability? IIRC you should've gone first, since his unit acted last in round 3.

Wait page 20 says tokens are effects and misses dont trigger effects, wouldn't that mean tokens dont proc on miss?

Misses don't trigger effects that say "On hit:" Some abilities do still have effects on a missed attack roll but most dont. So to answer your question, Yes tokens proc on a miss.
