Why isn't the switch-back wiring built into the housing itself? Why do I need to crimp on the factory wiring at all?

I was about to buy a pair for my car and realized they use halogen bulbs I then called and asked if I could add some led conversion bulbs and they said led's are only for the halo and daytime running? What's up with the halogen bulbs? Are they yellow like old cars used to have or do they look white/blue like the new headlight technology? Please explain if you can it would reassure me for purchase, thanks in advance!

Just completed the install. The 3M wire crimper was uncooperative so I spliced into the wires. Everything else went as planned. They look great!

Just FYI people check to make sure all the light functions work before remounting the headlights. Can save you a butt load of time.

I'm a little confused and read through a bunch of comments but just want to verify I understand correctly. If I was to manually turn my headlights on or if it was nighttime, would the white switchback always be on?

FlatBlackXD Yes anytime the low beams are on the white LED strip will also be on.

A couple of questions, would adding an LED turn signal with a resistor affect the LED outline when activating the turn signal? And could you run the housing without a turn signal bulb since the LED outline is a turn signal as well? Thanks!

Do the lenses ever begin to peel? I've had aftermarket lights in other vehicles i owen and am hesitant because the lenses have a thin plastic layer on the outside that starts to flake away and makes the headlight look like 💩.

+anzousa Like the new lights! Does the white outline stay on while driving like drls? And with the switchbacks being spliced into the truck harness, will you still be able to remove the headlights without cutting the wires and having to splice again?

When did Gen 2 come out? And why don’t you review night operations, I think most complaints are they are visible in daylight very well and they are no better than factory halogens.

I have a question. When your driving during the day are the projectors for the daytime running lights all that are on or is the plank bar light suppose to glow white as well? Thank you for any feed back

The headlights are dependent on vehicle power so low beam is DRL on the vehicle. Outside LED planks is connected to parking light circuit.

I think you need to wire the direction wire into the accessory 12 v somewhere in the fuse box so when you turn your truck on the white led turns on.

I imagine if you tap them into the DRL or parking lights instead of the turn signal they will stay yellow. I'm not 100 percent sure though

Would any problem with power be affected by not hooking up the switchbacks? I recently purchased these when replacing my first set of Anzo headlights after a front end collision. I told the collision center to not use the feature since I wanted to have a plug and play harness made so I’m not taping into the factory wires. Just to avoid warranty issues. If I leave my lights off I have no starting issues with the vehicle the next time I start it. If turned on during the prior drive it’s sluggish to start afterwards. Just trying to narrow down possibilities and requesting advice.

anzousa figures so myself. But had to ask. Dealer found a light in the center console that was staying on after its door was closed.

haha..."10 minutes per side." Only on a TV show where they can do an engine swap out in 1 hour. These things looks badass, but are damn finnicky to install, especially the electrical connections.
