As if you know this from experience in coding and IT development. Narc is completely in his right to be disappointed in AoC's slow development and wanting a break from it, ofc. But do say so without sounding like you've been hiding under Stephen's table at his studio, knowing exactly what's going on, because you obviously don't. Nobody does, other than what's posted by the devs on their community forums to the public. And ethics??? LMAO!!!. Narc will find his ethics conspicuously missing as he starts making AoC vids again.

I think my biggest criticism of Intrepid is they should have done a better job on the livestream hours before phase 2 release to set expectations.

I am not the biggest fan of Steven’s cause he feels like a salesman who can never stop selling, like one of those guys from the Affleck movie Boiler Room, but from my perspective he cooks Narc. I think Narc made a click bait vid for views, it blew up and now he has to own it, but in the end I think it will hurt him more than help.

The huge point that’s missed, in favor of Narc, is that an average excited player will likely make a purchase based off what is shown and promised. When a monetized transaction is involved, it is important to be 100% transparent about what is to be expected and what is to come. Even EA games do this and they only charge $20-$30. Narc could be misrepresenting, but he’s not 100% wrong. When you’re spending $100-$250 on something, you should be informed of exactly what to expect. “Well it’s an alpha, what did you expect”, doesn’t work as an excuse if assets/features being playable or not are not communicated.

They have been very clear that things are being worked on still, this is a test environment, and even the things shown are "subject to change". narc being 99% wrong is "not 100% wrong", but Narc is definitely misrepresenting the current testing environment, and a week ago that same testing environment looked quite a bit different than the week before that, and the week before that, etc. The desert nodes a week ago were crossroads - meaning they had a commission board and a couple NPCs standing at a literal crossroad. This week they are level 3 villages with a full set of artisan buildings... because people put the work in to unlock the higher node systems.

They made it very clear in their streams, during the alpha the content comes during the entire length, not everything day 1, it's a proper alpha, not an early access

Idk man i have a hard time sympathizing with people who pay 100$-250$ on an Alpha and then complain there's not enough shit Spending that amount of money on an alpha is out of my reality so i just watch people play it and see how it's going. Is not that hard to not pay for it

@@Cimarb this is the new meta of game developement: Announce a game, show some fake trailers that make you think this looks like the best thing ever, get the funding started, and then release the game in an alpha state where the game looks and feels like a 20 years old game, and leave it like that forever... (i have seen many gameplay videos from the alpha 1+2 and the visuals compared to the showcase trailers are laughable, the shadowquailty, the lighting, the effects all look like its a game from 2015 at best )and to any criticizm, you answer: HEY WHATS YOUR PROBLEM ITS ALPHA! people are sheep nowadays who will open their wallets for any shit, as long as the marketing is good enough

Over 90% of comments on that video are on narcs side and throwing shade on asmon and steven. Seems like the majority of the community doesn't trust steven anymore and said asmon was biased towards him just to keep a good relationship. It seems like there's only a few content creators left that are defending the game. What's your take on that?

I really doubt there 100k people that know nothing about ashes that watched narcs video. Maybe 30k based on the views on his previous high view vids. He has directly promoted the game to hundreds that actually paid in, those people are no going to narcs stream and complaining that he sold them a lie ...

Without a doubt intrepid has been deceitful about how much progress they have made. Then you add in selling expensive access to go into an alpha that is clearly not as progressed as advertised. I think that’s the root here.

Sorry man but they have made it very clear the game has a long way to go. Steven says every damn interview don’t buy if your not sure cause it’s an alpha. Yeah Steven is a salesman but at some point people have to take personal responsibility for their choice to spend money.
