Don't let clickbait titles mislead you. The title doesn't reflect the content. AOC stated clearly at 3:10 that she and her team are still going through the data, so she doesn't have a clear-cut answer, and she even said that you shouldn't listen to anyone who told you they do. That said, I saw AOC going through a bunch of her followers' responses (as @Supamav1 referenced), and while the outsider theme was mentioned, there was a variety of reasons people gave, so there isn't a simple, single reason that explains it.

There's certainly a lot of truth to this. I don't think the part that "if they're on TV, they can't be all bad" statement applies; Mehmet Oz ("Dr. Oz") was wiped out by Jon Fetterman in the PA Senate race back in 2022. I almost did that, 1. I live in a State that is very not swing, a safe state, so it would be a protest, and 2. I was so disgusted with the non primary party saying they were saving democracy when Harris wouldn't even say she would keep Lena Khan as the chairman of the FTC. Would not say M4A or define what was her health stance. Healthcare is bankrupting the working class and even some of the middle class. It would have been a protest vote, and in New York state a vote for Trump was not going to change the outcome, a protest against the corruption in politics that are not doing for the people. New York is safe to vote the other side.
