@@tomcek292 I didn't mean it is a 9 to 5 daily job either. But they do get hired to write music for the specific film in the specified time frame, and they create that music day in and day out for the studio that ordered the film to be made. That makes it daily job for them, albeit not a classic office 9 to 5 job. What I meant is, they are able to create masterpieces from what is essentially an order for a service.

The scene in the movie that this piece coincides with adds to the weight of the music. It is 100% impossible for me to hold back my tears when I hear this music. I wonder if pieces like this would have the same effect without their counterparts on film. No composer has had that effect on me as much as John Barry - the greatest film scorer of the 20th century. He was the pioneer of setting moods in movies with music. Han Zimmer easily carries the mantle into the 21st century. There are several honorable mentions among their ranks: Horner, Morricone, Goldsmith... I digress. Bottom line for this piece. HZ knocked his 62nd homer out of the park with his Knights of the Holy Grail (Chevaliers De Sangreal). Pure waterworks for this music. One of the greatest 4-minute treasures ever conceived. Cheers.

Zimmer truly is one of the worlds greatest componers of all time. He deserves to be named in one breath with Greatness like Chopin, Mozart, Bach, or compared along John Williams of the same 'era'. When my daughter’s father was dying this song literally carried me thru it. Somehow I’d forgotten all about this song til now. I don’t know how either because it literally carried me thru. I felt like I was drowning, my world turned inside out. The storm that led up to his passing. Knowing every day for almost a year straight that one of these days I was going to get “the call” Dreading it. A golden glow permeated his room when that call finally came. Like flickers of light in my peripheral. Light thru water. Doing my best to honor a promise I made. Then going home and looking at our daughter, too young to understand what had happened, looking back at me with his eyes. Shook rn.
