Great game. Watching replays is such a great way to learn the game. One subtle but important observation.. At around the 6:30ish mark your Ghazi raiders were able to pick off a villager on the gold vein. You’ll notice though that he had an unusually high number of villagers on gold to begin with which just screams fast castle. IMO I think you could have gotten more value out of those Ghazi’s by keeping them at the gold pit instead of circling for another pick. You’ll notice he immediately rallies the villagers back to gold and builds a tower to protect it the moment you left. If you had kept the Ghazi’s at the gold pit you could have delayed his White Tower timing by quite a bit because he would have been forced to build spears / production to regain control of it. Just something I noticed and figured I share.

Good advice for sure. My thought in game when I saw the king was either FC or 2TC, gold confirmed FC. I followed with a pretty fast castle also and made sure not to over commit on units and get stuck in Fuedal. I got the reaction I wanted from Ghazis on gold, he made a tower and barracks and pulled the king back, but in hindsight I could have stayed a bit longer until the king arrived, then run and scout the rest of his base. Especially with the gold so far away. Thanks for the feedback.
