Love this. I love the fact your micro and macro is so good that even weird builds like this work. I wonder if going Tori gates first is better though? Makes your shipment curve a lot more palletable. Also in terms of starts. I think it's piro that is really high ELO Japan that pretty much always goes 300 food into Tori gates on land maps and 3 fishing boats on any sort of water map. The 300 food makes it a rsaply early age up combined with the samurai from aging up with Tori gates applies pressure on any forward outpost like Spain and it really saves Japan early from what I've seen

Yeah, I'd go Torii, Shogunate, Pavilion instead. Torii gives more tempo early on plus a better shipment curve for the whole game, especially combined with Spanish consulate and the Pavilion bonuses are pretty nice since they're a flat bonus to current stats, not base stats, which is even better for high stat units like Ronin.

@@H3LLGHA5TI think 3 boats/heavenly kami are decent. Furthermore, in case of solid ff civ as an enemy, the extra eco from Toshogu allows extended age2 even if you aim to ff or even FI

Opponent probably never played asian civ..even if he took down the wonder full cost will be refunded. He just wasting units to TC..😅

This game was so clearly fixed lol. The Mexican m=players had so many opportunities for ez mins. E.g., those naked flaming arrows at 24 minutes lmao

Culvs don't really work against flaming arrows, at least not flaming arrows in masse. Flaming arrows have similar range to culvs, and have faster movement speed. So culvs only get one shot then they die. (Especially bad if the culvs aren't unpacked) Flaming arrows are super broken imo. they should at least cost the same as a falc/culv imo. if not a nerf to their speed/attack delay/range. At least Light cannon are tied to a civ with a weak late game and are limited to a age 4 and require a special building. Flaming arrows being built from castles make them even more broken imo.

@@micahbonewell5994 Culvs don't, but mass heavies do, Flaming Arrows just don't do enough damage against them to really threaten them until age 5 where they get more range then heavies.

@@micahbonewell5994 Flaming arrows aren't great at actually killing stuff like infantry, thus failing one of Artillery's most important jobs (crazy DPS). They have range, so you get ranged advantage in the fights (which is good), but 5 falcs vs an army of infantry is GG if you can't kill the falcs within a volley or two. It takes like 2x as many arrow volleys to inflict the same damage.
