The smooth gaming experience - could that be because you set your power settings to max? In my case they tend to default into “power saving” for some reason after I turn the PC off and on again so chaning it to higher setting makes a huge difference for me.

If you make only 1 landmark you actualy have a different bonus than making 2 , and was not really a relic game .

Probably because he saw him going multiple tc, that takes a lot of villager time especially since he went 3 tc

Check 6:40 exactly, pause. He saw that Rus mined 700 stone and that was for 2 TC's, thus he cannot also have an early knight push as he needs other resources too for the TC's He also then made another round to scout where the 2 TC's were built (if they in fact were), when confirmed both he was able to do his own boom with more ease. Had he not done that, but spent resources vs a possible early knight pus, I believe the actual push would have been overwhelming as he would not have been able to recuperate after the first one (which he could as he had enough vills due to his own boom), and the second arrival of the Rus army would have been devastating.
