Today I came here to escape back into the 60's and I'm glad I did. Wonderful Psychedelic little gem but it Rocks.

Great cover. I've heard this covered by Davie Allan and the Arrows "68 and by The Slade "70. A band called Future covered this in "68. It's a minute or so longer than the original by fictitious band, Max Frost and the Troopers. With that extra minute of psychedelic embellishment, Future's rendition trumps Max Frost's. If it doesn't, it's just as spectacular as the original. Ty, psych45s

Never knew Aorta covered this. It's got their typical first album sound as I'm listening.

nothing beats the Max Frost version but the jazz breaks between the verses on this recording are great.

First album is a stone cold classic as is this cover version! What happened after that?

How the hell did they get on Atlantic?? They were on Columbia! Before tis, they were on Quill with other members under a different name. After a few singles, that band broke up and some of them became Aorta, the others became part of Chicago Transit Authority. Both released their first album on Columbia along with another Chicago-based band, The Buckinghams (originally on the U.S.A. label). I know Aorta had a second album but I don't know much about it except that it pretty much sucked. It sounded NOTHING like the first album!!

I prefer the Slade version myself.

Me too. At the end, for a few seconds, the pace slows, & Noddy vocalizes a psychedelic outro. This version just fades.
