This is the real Eren. Chapter 139 Eren made no canonical sense as well as contradicting with his established motives, inner monologue, and history. Now I see, because of the leaks, who the real enemy are, corporate greed. If they are not stop they will trample all over this masterpiece of a series by milking this franchise dry. To me, he should have finished the Rumbling(no descharacterization or character assassination for our freedom boy and no shitty Zero Requiem 2.0 plan), used the Alliance to kill the Hallucigenia and spares them, he is the father of Historia baby, the baby is Ymir Fritz's reencarnation and it should end with Eren holding his daughter with the Alliance(but Jean, Connie and Levi shouldn't have made it) and Historia looking at him while he sees a horizon without walls and says to his daughter "Ymir Reiss-Yeager, my daughter... You are free..."

That’s the most hilarious thing. Eren is done completely wrong, he is completely disrespected. Now, the fanbase who defend the ending are pushing the narrative he could have stopped at any time. The “JuSt StOp Lol” is one of the worst deconstructions of the endings I’ve ever seen. People want to push everything onto Eren’s shoulders. It’s absolutely hilarious how hypocritical they are, pushing everything onto Eren shoulders is what caused this mess in the first place. He was burdened by so much and when he constantly showed that burdened heart , people told him to essentially shut up and just accept that the world is like that. No one wants to accept the fact the Alliance are sacks of shit as well. It’s absolutely incredible how much Eren admits to his own hypocrisy and disgust with himself for his actions yet somehow, the Alliance don’t have any of it. We are talking about the group of individuals who literally nuked a port filled civilians, killed Levi’s squad, and killed more civilians in the walls for Eren’s capture. Saving the world does not absolve of them of their shitty actions, if Eren is meant to take punishment for all his actions that is shown to be forced onto him, then so do the Alliance. Absolutely terrible people. Eren’s gone through way more terrible shit compared to the rest of the Alliance and despite that he kept “moving forward.” because he knew that’s giving into the cruel reality of the world. Eren is a phenomenal character it’s actually stupid how misunderstood he is, he was misunderstood in the beginning and continues to be after.

Everyday I'm here, i think Why did it ever come to this? Damaged minds and bodies... Their freedom taken away... If people knew it would come to this, Nobody would go to war. But most people are pushed by something, forced to march into hell But people who push their own backs see a different kind of hell They can see something beyond the hell It might be hope It may even be another hell Only those... Who keep moving forward will ever know Goddammit, it will be perfect for my story telling in my literature class

He sought freedom because he was born in the world. The only way to gain that freedom was to fight back, to keep moving forward. When he thought he achieved it, he saw that other people were trying to take his freedom, the only choice he had was to fight back, to keep moving forward, to take their freedom to ensure his. The Attack Titan always moves towards freedom, relentlessly, and for that freedom is what it fights for. To gain his freedom, he kept moving forward. He wanted to become a symbol of hope for humanity, hope that will push humanity beyond the walls, hope that will relieve humanity if it was ended, always hope for freedom. In the end, he was free and the world was free of him, at the cost of everyone's freedom.
