Despite the short screen time he had in the show, Keith displayed as a beautifully written character
@Ridif00lous Жыл бұрын
This guy is a legend. We're talking about someone who was skilled enough to rise in the ranks of the Survey Corps, eventually leading them. He failed to discover anything new about titans, pretty much like Erwin (who still managed to create tactics to reduce casualty rates on expeditions) before discovering Eren was a titan shifter. Shadis unlike many characters accepted his shortcomings and resigned his position so someone else could bring changes he knew he wasn't able to bring in. Still, as an instructor he trained Eren, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, and Sasha to be soldiers able to fight toe-to-toe with Marleyan Warriors and soldiers. Even with the Yeagerist uprising, he stood by his beliefs and accepted being beaten to save his trainees. Later, by disabling the Yeagerist's train and blowing himself up with the last ship on Paradis able to catch the alliance, he showed how much skill, determination and sense of sacrifice he had in himself. He sacrificed everything he had so his "betters" could achieve goals he couldn't.

The fact that the community still collectively calls him Keith CHADis makes me tear up. It is sad that no one in the story knows what he did, but we do. We the fans know how much he mattered and that’s enough for me.

True, the guy pretty much knew he was a side character in a grand story, and in the large scheme of things... many of us too are just "side characters" it feels like. But you know what? Nah, I don't wanna just be any side character, I'll keep on pushing forward till I become a centerpiece, a staple in the lives of others. Keith may have felt insignificant to the others, but in reality, he was just as influential as many of them. He trained the Scouts we know of today, that's enough for me 🥲
@percygekkouga21512 жыл бұрын
Yes, we fans know that he told his students to join the Yeagerists and then blew up a train full of Yeagerists the very next day, killing hundreds upon hundreds of them. Many of which might be the very students he talked to yesterday. He committed suicide for the people who brought hell upon his world. Shadis what a man you are!

A legendary teacher who gets emotional and happy seeing his students grow According to erwin and Dot Pixis, a character that stays in the background compared to other characters, but this is not its shortcoming, its plus is a dramatic and realistic character I wish it was more prominent in aot

The special thing about Attack on Titan is that every character has it own story telling view.
@farmakis96chris Жыл бұрын
Well that's exactly it! No one is a hero here. You can't point fingers and say those are the good and those the bad guys. It's such a grey area of what is wrong and correct. You can argue hours and hours with friends about their point of view. Keith was a character I always liked especially after the bystander episode. Cause he was like us, someone you can actually relate to. Not a big hero but a regular man that at the end rose to the occasion!

His story was truly one of the saddest .... he sacrificed his love as he had no guramtee he would live, he wasn't a talented commander but tried his best , beared the weight of his fallen comrades and kept moving forward, dying a absolute hero by killing his own pupils who became jeargerists he's just my favourite caracter ever , the fact that Isayama calls Keith's s3 ep 11 his personal favourite really says something

Keith wasn't a bystander he truly was special don't forget that he is the one who trained Jean, eren, Armin, shasha, Connie, Mikasa and hundreds of other soldiers who protected the island from Titans for 9 years, without his trained soldiers the team would have never reached the sea in season 3. There is a saying in my country that a good teacher is equivalent of God.

Thank you so much for giving Keith such amazing tribute, I've never been attach to any fiction characters until AOT came. I feel like it's fun and feel great when I go look and understand each characters, even the side characters. It's amazing how such person can create a character and story that'll stay in everyone's heart, like Isayama and people who puts effort in their videos like this.

Keith was one of the most relatable characters to me as a fellow loser. The image of him watching his friend get married happily while he watches on is burned into my mind. This only just occurred to me, are you ever planning on making a Grisha Jaeger video? I think nearly all his footage has aired unless there was something else you were waiting for. You are my fav AoT amv maker so I always look forward to seeing what you make next.

Shadis always believed he was nothing more than just a bystander, and in the end, he ended up playing a huge part in saving the world. The only thing he did that made my respect for him shake quite a bit was when he was going to teach the 109th to ONLY cut a Titan's nape with a sword. He should have gone to someone in the Jaegerists for firearm training as well or taught them himself as best as he could. That way, they could have a legit Eldian Army on Paradis. Well, that's how it ended up when the Jaegerists fully took control after the Battle of Heaven and Earth...

Loved it, absolutely beautiful! Is Theo magath next? Keith shadis was always special. When you think, the same way he thought, You would know that he was special from the get go and that he was meant to do incredible things. Sometimes, things in life don't go the way you would've hoped for, but if keep pushing for the goal that you have in mind, in the end, nothing could stop your drive and relentlessness to accomplish that goal.
