The Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 3-1 deficit for the first time in NBA Finals history and brought the city of Cleveland their first championship since 1964. Let's take an in-depth look back at the classic 7 game series between the 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors.
About the NBA:
The NBA is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. The league is truly global, with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 47 languages, as well as NBA rosters at the start of the 2015-16 season featuring 100 international players from 37 countries and territories. For the 2015-16 season, each of the league's 30 teams will play 82 regular-season games, followed by a postseason for those that qualify.
The NBA consists of the following teams: Atlanta Hawks; Boston Celtics; Brooklyn Nets; Charlotte Hornets; Chicago Bulls; Cleveland Cavaliers; Dallas Mavericks; Denver Nuggets; Detroit Pistons; Golden State Warriors; Houston Rockets; Indiana Pacers; Los Angeles Clippers; Los Angeles Lakers; Memphis Grizzlies; Miami Heat; Milwaukee Bucks; Minnesota Timberwolves; New Orleans Pelicans; New York Knicks; Oklahoma City Thunder; Orlando Magic; Philadelphia 76ers; Phoenix Suns; Portland Trail Blazers; Sacramento Kings; San Antonio Spurs; Toronto Raptors; Utah Jazz; Washington Wizards.
LeBron Raymone James (born December 30, 1984) is an American basketball player with the Cleveland Cavaliers. James first garnered national attention as the top high school basketball player in the country. With his unique combination of size, athleticism and court vision, he became one of the premier players in the NBA. After leading the Miami Heat to titles in 2012 and 2013, he returned to Cleveland and helped the franchise claim its first championship in 2016.

AoTheGoat sure did. Great compilation. Gonna show my kids when they get old enough to understand how great he was. IMO, comparing him to Jordan is wrong. Just like comparingKareem, or oscar, or magic. All different players who were the best at what they did. I think lebron will go down as a bit of a stat hunter, especially now that he's a bit older. Still great but I see more flaws in his teams now

Darius Miles and the others were talking like they had a winning record. They were winning like 19 games a year. There was no bandwagon to get on. He changed the team and the who city and state around. Ohio thrived off of LeBron. I've read the articles on how Cleveland revenue grew when he came to the team. Went down when he left and grew again when he came back.

@@xDreMack I agree that Kobe was super authentic but let’s be real lebron story is amazing because of the trials and tribulations he had to endure and for him to be a generational great with all that? By the end of his career there will be a documentary spanning +20 years of his career man, how crazy is that. Lebron’s story is not only about basketball, but overcoming hardship and struggle. Born and raised in Miami I remember being a kid when the heat one their first championship with Lebron. The craziest and most exhilarating thing to happen to our city. I was watching the full game in my house with my family and my cousins and uncles would make create a dog pile with their bodies everytime someone would score towards the end of the game. I remember all of the 3-pointers made in these highlights. When we won, we drove around and I swear the whole city was out, honking our horns, yelling, laughing, the traffic was insane, ppl were blasting music just celebrating together all night. I’ll never in my life forget that beautiful night and how emotional and proud the city was. That team was probably one of the best in NBA history.

When he went to Miami the Cavaliers went from winning over 50 games a year to barely cracking 20. Single-handedly. Coming back from 3-1 in the finals. About to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time scoring record, there's no way people who still hate on him are going to let up just because he's gone. Skip his completely sounded the trollhorn and they on him. Cleveland needed him to go to Miami so they could get back to the draft. They were never going to win a championship with the caliber of players they had and they sure as f*** weren't going anywhere high in the draft with him.

Draymond knew that Lebron was so good that the only way to beat him was to have KD on the Warriors. He is without a doubt a true titan of basketball. The owner of the Bulls said during Jordan's number retirement that anyone who wore 23 after Jordan would only be a pretender. 17 years old being compared to Magic and Jordan. No one ever had more hype, overperformed and delivered more crazy ass games especially in the playoffs than Lebron James. To me he's the single most valuable player of all time. He gives any team elite scoring, passing, and zone defense. He shows up when he needs to for rebounds and 1 on 1 defense, and his chasedown block is iconic. It took three all time 3 point shooters and a DPOY who can pass better than the guards to beat Lebron after the 3-1 comeback.

Scott Stuart what a legend!!! The fact that Lebron returned to Cleveland to help them win a championship says a lot because all the hate from some of the fans! Others would not even want to come back! Would you come back to a team that hated your decision when on the contrary the fans would have pushed hard to keep him as a cavalier and the office provide him with a good supporting team around him? He came back in 2014 because they brought Love and Kyre plus Lebron wanted to bring a title home! Say what you want to say about LeBron but the respect and admiration is there!

Please stop. No one says he isn't great. But when you bronsexuals start with the "goat" talk, it's just embarrassing. And let's be honest, when you flop like a fish for a decade, choke in more big moments than you come through, you don't get respect. Being a physical freak of nature doesn't automatically get you respect. If he was Curry's size he'd be an absolute nobody and you wouldn't even know his name.

He didnt come thru only in one finals appearance. Other than that the teams he faced was way better the teams he had. Jordan the one changed all the rules to fit his game don't blame LeBron for something Jordan started. Yall people kill me with that bullshit. You couldn't blow on Jordan without a foul after the bad boys nearly beat him to death. SMH

One of the Greatest Of All Time in his sport. From the inception, some of us could've seen him as such. We have not seen anything like him and perhaps never will. His off the court actions are exemplary. He has lived up to the expectation of the monikers, the 'Chosen One' & 'King James' that other people had placed on him.

You can’t help but watch this over and over, lebron wanted that championship for his city bad, you can tell how he played in that series, insane absolutely insane game play, he absolutely harassed the warriors every chance he got solid defense blocked shots, then dunks fast break points assists three ball, I mean my god, he was freaking ballin on ‘em period, thank you Lebron for never giving up.

See that's the disrespect on espn. Just because you like one player doesn't mean you are sitting on another. People can have different opinions, and it is not outrageous that some people believe him to be the best ever. Skip just had a slow media day and wanted to say something controversial and everybody reacted as he knew they would and he's been milking that cash cow ever since. Somebody who's about to break Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record, has shattered many other records, was the sole cause of the Cavaliers going from over 50 wins to just barely 20 wins. One player left and all of a sudden they are bad enough to go back to the draft? Anybody who doubts his greatness is either ignorant and is just drinking skips Kool-Aid or a mother f****** troll

So much respect for a guy that has never doubted himself regardless of the situations surrounding him. Challenges from the day he was born, criticism from the day he entered the league and all he does is prove them wrong. Lebron is not MJ, he should stop being compared to MJ as he is Lebron and writing his own script just as Kobe did, Bird and Magic before them aswell, however that's just what happens in sport and life. He is a human firstly and a basketball player second, and one that all future generations can look up to for the way he handles himself both on and off the court. Best player ever, second best player ever, 124905th best player ever, the impact he has had on so many lives is what he should be remembered for. And no I'm not a Lebron dick rider. I'm a Celtics fan and have thoroughly enjoyed the matches played against him for the past 10 years. From 2008-The currently 2-2 ECF now, I've ridden the rollercoaster of results that the Celts and Cavs/Heat have had and not once been on Lebrons side. Simply respect the person first and his game second. Peace.

A fabulous watch! Loved that final game 7. They had to recruit Kevin Durant, the NBA’s greatest shooter, to get them over the hump, all while LJ had no team, yet still got to 2 more finals! In my mind, GS only has won 2 finals, after 2022 finals. What Cleveland accomplished, no other team has. EVER!

49:00-51:34 Character of a crybaby. None of these Warriors players have a million dollar shoe deal as a superstar from their rookie days. They played as a whole bball team unlike Cavs one man team and dream of stacking up stats. Lebron kept ranting "i don't have a superstar in my team to beat 'em." Weak ass loser.

Greatest feat in NBA History...LBJ led both teams in finals series in all 5 MAJOR categories, and this was achieved vs a team that just posted the BEST regular season record (73-9, GSW) in NBA history (besting the Bulls previous 72-10). So till this feat remains unmatched, LBJ still remains SUPREME !!!! Long Live the KING !!!!!
