This instantly made my day. The shield recharge change is so great. No more trying to catch the tiny sliver of shield on an MC to fire off the recharge ability. That is a REALLY smart fix you guys implemented! Sad to see the torpedo burn go. It seemed really awesome in 1v1 fights but I imagine it was more messy in massed engagements with tens of bombers flying around. Is there a way you could instead make torpedo burn something that is like a DoT on a hardpoint? Not sure if that is better but it might still fit with what your initial idea was. The Arc Hammer is beautiful.

Random thought, couldn't you just tie the original EAW:FOC Buzzdroid ability, to the proton torpedo burn enhancement? Just up the damage that the buzzdroids do to the hardpoint, and don't make it affect anything otherr than the hardpoint?

Maxi are you going to deal with the issues of 2.8.2 crashing? Good luck in balancing these ships and it's probably not easy to do so we are patient and hope to get the same quality we have had from The AOTR Team in the past. Ah the reason why I like this Mod, it's basically an Algebra Equation, you find the balance and then you solve the problem. Hey are we going to see other characters in this new updated 2.9 like Duke Dirt Farmer The Last Laser Master, Obi Wan Larry Steve Kenobie, Han Seekler, General Manager Vader, Far2D2, Creepio and his Singularity engine, Existential Troopers, and The Laser Moon? LOL The Auralnauts Crack me the hell up.

@@maxim-1700 Cool. I hope that what I say doesn't sound too critical. AOTR is my favorite mod for SW Empire At War. I have faith the team will do a great job. The buffs and nerfs some may not like but in the end it's a balance/the choice of you the mod team to change things up for something different. It's funny I don't really see it as "Balancing" b/c how much can you balance until you admit, these are our own persona views at the moment of what we like and think the game should be like.

That mc30 ability is a nerf it makes your ship not fire and lose shields? But it’s supposed to take less shield damage? You’re losing shields either way.

Man... I could never even afford those. My last playthrough I used the same 2 X-wings for 5 battles and it felt like if AA coughed in their direction I lost 1 sometimes 2. I feel like air vs AA is in a pretty good spot but like I said... I never had much. :-)

I dont think so..especially in smaller battles its very important to go for important weapon systems first

one of the things we are most concerned about is making targeting the hull hardpoint *not* the wisest decision in every circumstance. sometimes it'll be the right decision, but other times it will harm you more than help you.

@@blackburn1489 if the mc80's focus on hull, they will lose. but if they target the guns, suddenly their survivibility goes up, and then they have a better chance.

Despite für balance the rework looks great. However, is the indipendence the only dreadnought style ship for the rebels and where was the executor in the showcase? 😉 ps. Aren't those Dreadnought class ships a bit top weak If you consider their cost? Since they are weak against multiple ship classes (frigates, corvettes, bombers and even fighters). But we will see how they perform in a more realistic environment like fleet battles.

I think the idea is that if you have the extra cash in late game and you need to bust a heavily defended star system, you would then use a dreadnought. Otherwise in a typical fleet engagement you are better off using your pop-cap for cruisers and capitol ships. Having a expensive but unbeatable "I win" ship would just make the end game happen sooner and be a lot less fun. At least... that is my read of it.

@@wolfsigma I have never said, that the ship has to be unbeatable but if you invest 50k or more (which is alot even later on) the ship has to be really powerful, there has to be some fear factor for you if the AI is having one in their fleet. But we will see, the balancing is still in progress.

@@R4ZORLIGHT I hear you and agree to a point. But in my rebel games when the Empire rolled out the SSD it was NEARLY unstoppable. Even if I waited for its support fleets to move off and leave it alone it was a long fight to kill it that cost me a fair few ships. I like the idea that now I just need to bring the right ships to the fight to get it done. Feels more like I am doing "tactics!" :-)

@@wolfsigma Executor is an extreme case and probably the most powerful (and expensive) ship in the game. :) And don't forget you were playing as rebels, which are guerilla/hit and run based faction Anyway, we all can kinda agree, that the balancing isn't finsihed as stated but the dreadnoughts need a fear factor otherwise you can just spam other capital ships.
