Can you show me how to put an equation into the calculator? For the first question part a where you solve for t in the calculator

Let's take a look at part (d) if it was calculator section-- even though it isn't- 1) Hit 2nd y = 2) Enter: Y1 = x^3-6x^2+300 *make sure to highlight the equal sign after Y1... if you don't then you will get an error** And make sure to NOT highlight anything else.3 3) Math--> 9--> And you should an integral with empty boxes and enter exactly as it is on your paper 4) 0 is on the bottom and 10 is on the top 5) *IMPORTANT* When you're inside the empty box in the parenthesis... hit VARS--> scroll to Y-Vars--> hit (1) function--> and hit 1 beause that's the equation we entered into Y1 6) then where it says d, enter X... which is located next to alpha! 7) You should get 3500, BUT... since it's average value MAKE Sure to multiple by 1/10 to get our answer of 350. **IMPORTANT** This is only for calculator section, but if it were given as a no calc, you have to do everything by hand and you can use the calculator to check your work. for part a how did you put it in your calculator of the first question

Loic, if you can’t put it on the calculator, another way to do it is graph |v(t)| and then graph y=2 and see where they intersect. Let me know if this makes sense, if not, I’ll do a video for you. Thanks!!

Loic, the way I got 80 was just by putting everything into the calculator. Let me know if you need me to do a quick video on doing that.

For part a in the first question, you stated that speed is the absolute value of v(t). However, in part d of the second question, you did not treat velocity the same way. Do you only treat speed as the absolute value of velocity when trying to find the speed ?

i've been trying to input part A "the absolute value of v(t) being set equal to 2" but my ti89 keeps breaking and i don't nearly have enough time to wait for it to finish. what do i input so it doesn't take so long?

i know this is 2 years late but try setting them as two different functions on your graph menu, then find the intersects between that time interval
