In this video, we explore the relationship between politics and economics. Along the way, we’ve introduced some basic economic concepts, like the idea of property, markets, supply and demand, public goods, and social expenditures. We also discuss the benefits and costs of policies that promote increased economic freedom, along with the terms economic liberalization and neoliberalism.

Hi Ritika, you're right! :D The definition on the screen is for social services. Appreciate you noticing, thank you! If you're looking for a definition of supranational organization, you can go with the Oxford Reference: "Laws or institutions that supersede the authority of the state. A supranational organization is formed by states that have agreed to transfer certain rulemaking prerogatives to a higher, central authority." There's always the question of whether to distinguish it from an international or intergovernmental organization. In the Human Geography course, I know they do not, but in Comparative Politics, many experts do. Sometimes, it feels like we're splitting hairs with all those definitions, but we're trying to establish some common basis for discussion and analysis right? :D Thanks again for noticing.
