I would really love to see Nidalee top with Grasp. I see it played in high elo videos every now and then but never actually understood what's the point of it and how to make it work.

Grasp has bonus benefits for melee champs, Cougar form is melee so She has the best of both worlds. Also there is an advanced tech where if you throw a ranged auto and change form before it hits the game registers it as a melee hit and gives you the better grasp for melee characters

The point in playing her top is that she bullies many champions on toplane as she has Grasp/E sustain, cougar mobility, traps for vision and bush control, range for auto poking and good base damage on her abilites. People like to play with first item iceborn to have some form of cc on her. Makes her spears easier to land for followup and enables her to roam without getting oneshot by champs like kha,rengo etc. She falls off in mid to late though, so getting a lead and finishing games as early as possible is very important. Edit: Enemy team will hate u for sure. Got many death threats and hate messages playing her in normals and plat 4-1 elo. So definitely disable all chat

I play a lot of Nidalee mid, but I’m hardstuck silver. If I got more points per win I’d definitely be able to get to Plat or Diamond. Gaining 20 and losing 28-30 LP makes it almost impossible to climb with the amount of feeders and griefers in Silver.
