Hi madam, how can we prove that 1) Image distance is equal to object distance 2) Image height is equal to the object height. In this video, you told that the triangles are congruent. Under which theorom, these triangles, become congruent? I understood Two angles are equal. What about the sides?
@onlearningcurve4 жыл бұрын
That is a good question, Meera. The 2 triangles are congruent because the opposite angles are the same, each has a right angle, and the heights of the triangles are also the same (because the beam parallel to the principle axis is reflected parallel to the principle axis, so the ray extension is also parallel to the principle axis).

in some cases image is formed behind the mirror..then how we see it...???
@onlearningcurve7 жыл бұрын
Around 4:33: The eye receives light rays reflected by the mirror. Because the rays enter the eye in those particular direction, the person perceives the rays as coming from any points along that straight line, including the dashed part of the line. In this case, all the rays entering the person's eye appears to be coming from the same point behind the mirror. Therefore, the person gets the impression that the image is behind the mirror at that particular location.

It's a focal length in the plane mirror please told me
@onlearningcurve6 жыл бұрын
A plane mirror is like a curved mirror with radius of curvature, r, that is infinity. Since f of a spherical mirror's f = r/2, it is reasonable to say that a plane mirror's focal length f is infinity. It also makes sense because light rays originating from the focal point (which is at infinity) get reflected by the mirror and come off of the mirror as parallel rays.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I do not understand what you meant by v = 2x
