One PM is using Hindi from his oath taking ceremony to UN speech. And other PM is choosing a colonial language everywhere. Yes it's about choice, and personal choice reflects a person's thinking process, his mental orientation and works. And Modi used English in his US Congress Speech so what? He wants to spread India's soft power, that doesn't mean he is English hater. You are in the parliament of a foreign country where every single person speaks English. Using Hindi there would be a geopolitically foolish idea. But in Indian ceremonies or in any international summit where every country has gathered, you should show your culture and language to represent your country. Not that you have to borrow a colonial language to tell your countries aspirations to the world.
