Some people saw Jupiter and Venus during the eclipse, but I don't know if they noticed about 12P/Pons-Brooks comet which supposed to be visible during that time since no one mentioned it on livestreams. Perhaps the comet itself isn't too bright.

Did you notice the two dots in the surface of the Sun, just before the total eclipse, in Mexico? They aren't nuclear explosions as BBC thought, they are two planets, like Earth and Moon, rotating around the Sun.

I thought the eclipse was not suppose to affect michigan but it began to get dark outside As it was getting a little dark I did not notice it until I began to experience dizziness I thought I needed to drink some water and as I went into the kitchen this is when I saw it was darkening outside I went to the door and my little dog seemed alarmed and was hurrieing up to come in the house I drank some water but continued to feel dizzy but as soon as the eclipse passed I stopped feeling dizzy even though michigan did not experience the full effects of the eclipse it did get a little dark to the point it was noticeable and it affected me with dizziness and my breathing was somewhat affected I wonder if anyone else experienced side effects from the eclipse or the slight darkening in michigan or other places.

Our family went to Kentucky for the 2017 eclipse and to Ohio for this years eclipse. The difference between the two eclipses due to the different sun spot activity was striking. 2017 had none of the prominences that were all over the sun in 2024. If you get the chnce to see a total solar eclipse then DO it. Even 99% is nothing compared to TOTAL.
