FINALLY!!! I'm a born Vancouverite and I've always wanted to explore BC in the game - Promods has done a great job, but SCS will kick it up a notch! Hopefully there's a ferry connection to Victoria and other parts of Vancouver Island as well.

In my experience with ETS2, it's usually the other way around. SCS does a reasonable job (these days. Early ETS2 was terrible for realism), then ProMods comes along and makes it about 5-10x better.

Wow, I am quite surprise Canada is coming to ATS so early. I wonder at what point they will start including Canada. SCS can technically add British Columbia first before finishing the whole of US and all three state that border BC(Washington, Idaho and Montana)is already in the game. I'm really happy to see Canada in the game! I would particularly like to see Ontario appear as well as Quebec since I live there. However, I think that will not happen for several years since there are so many American states and Canadian provinces to do before getting there. I still have the mods to play in this part of the territory even if I find that they are not very well done (hence the fact that I would like these provinces in the official game)

@ But I still think that the DLCs will end up arriving faster and faster. I think this because the states have a smaller area on the east coast of the USA. So in theory, maybe it should come out faster. After all, they have already taken out the biggest states like Texas for example!

British Columbia is an awesome place, and I"m glad it's finally being considered in being added. Going through Rocky mountains, through Vancouver Island, and even Vancouver & Victoria itself would be great. Curious how they'll do the Vancouver area with Surrey, etc. Would be interesting. I hope you can see Mount Baker while driving on B.C Vancouver side. The neat vantage point overlooking Vancouver would be sweet.

Well the old 18 Wheels of Steel games like Petal to the Metal (2004) and American Long Haul (2008) already included parts of Canada and Mexico. So basically it's nothing new but it's very nice to see how they expand

Promods has already been doing that for years and I must say even better than SCS devs. When I drive around promods map with even more detail than scs I get better frame rates than what they bring with base dlc maps. I think they should be focusing more on gameplay rather than maps. For starters they need to make it possible to take more than 1 load with your own trailers. I cant believe they havent done this yet, not to mention many qol options in game. They havent made it possible to even walk around the truck or anywhere as most other games have this as a basis of any gameplay. All they have is that stupid camera that is under your truck. This is the one thing that MSFS 2024 has done well, is the ability to walk around anywhere and explore on foot. You can even do it in farming sim or any other sim, but NOT truck sims.

This is really great news. But wouldn't it be better to bring all truck simulators together? So you buy, I'll call it Hub for now (later a nice name should be found like "Truck Simulator") and then the extensions ATS, ETS (if you haven't bought it yet) or CTS. I think the change to the respective countries could also be simulated from the menu or with ferries and exchange points at the borders or airports.
