I think we as asians are too polite and we do not complain enough (or give enough pressure) to these conglomerates to take responsibility of defects and issues that falls under the warranty policy. I believe the treatment will definitely be different for "other" countries. Thanks JR Song for voicing out.

Memang betul, jaminan 5 tahun ni scam manufacturer. Aku dah kene, nak tukar side mirror rosak under warranty tak boleh sebab dia orang claim side mirror dah kene langgar sebab ada calar yang sangat halus di cat side mirror. Padahal memang side mirror tu tak pernah kene langgar pun. Dia orang akan cari sebab yang walaupun tak munasabah sebab tak nak bagi customer claim warranty.

Aku pernah alami situasi ni.. Cermin depan crack... Perasan 3 Hari lepas ambil waktu nak pasang tinted... Tuan kedei Tak jadi pasang sebab perasan ada crack.. Diarong suruh aku gi SC claim dulu.. Di pendekkan cerita SC berdolak dalih sampai aku bertengkar... Boleh sembang kena batu... Beribu bai kalau buat sendiri... Aku cakap last sekali dgn nada kuat.. Aku check dari depan tiada kesan kasan sebab batu.. Sebalik crack Dr dlm... Tak pe.. Aku akan refer aduan hal ehwal pengguna... Minta nasihat mereka... Terus mereka cool down kan aku..... Suruh aku bertenang.. Bagi mereka masa sehari dua.. OK aku cakap... Dlm hati kalau tiada respond sehari dua kopom aku complaint ke aduan pengguna... Tak sangka btol Merek call aku sehari selepas aku dari perodua.. Mereka akan tukar cermin depan termasuk pasang baru... FOC... Selepas pasang aku Tanya kenape tetiba lulus aku punya aduan... Technician cakap cermin keta aku salah cara pasang di kilang.. QC terlepas pandang.. Huhu.. Nasib baik aku berkeras.. Kalau Tak guna duit sendiri lah aku tukar cermin tu..

I have this issue with my wife old Honda Jazz last time. First complained rejected until I made it to Honda Malaysia and met their representative in their office in D’sara CP Tower, then resent for checking and finally granted the repaint and readjustment. Sometime you need to find a way to deal with them.

Same case for my saga mc2, lepas hantar service 10000km, tetibe pintu driver lepas tutup, lower part ada gap besar, bila hantar balik service center, dia kata x boleh buat, kene hantar ke proton skudai kiri sbb they have paint and body works. Sampai di sana lepas mereka check, they said its normal, thats so stupid

Warranty ni sebenarnya complicated sbb bila 1st day ambil kereta salesman tu ada suruh kita sign DO atau release note masa ambil nak check mmg takde masa lg2 excited kereta baru tggu smpi rumah baru dpt belek kalau jumpa apa2 masa tu nak claim die org mmg pusing la selagi boleh

tu la ramai orng tak tahu, tp pomen sy ckp radio tu kalau tukar pastu kereta terbakar.. Toyota akan salah kn radio tu sebagai punca.. wlpn wayer tu tak potong

Sama mcm sepupu aku pkai myvi tetiba kereta xbleh hidup..pergi sc berdekatan rmh dia diorang kata sbb spark plug..yg member ni pun xtau la bab kereta & ia kan je la & beberapa hari lepas tu problem lgi..hntr sc lain bru detect fuel pump problem & kebetulan bru 2 hari lepas last date 3 tahun warranty... sepupu aku terus berkeras xmau bayar sbb dh bayar spark plug yg mahal tu padahal mileage kereta bru brapa ja & kereta skrg 100k bru tukar spark plug & sepatutnya sc sblm tu dh bleh detect fuel pump problem..ni bru btul2 lepas tarikh habis ...last skali bru sc setuju nk tukar tanpa bayaran

Yup betul..warranty tu ckup syarat je..untuk claim mmg susah..sebelum ni saya guna honda city..problem mmg dah dpt detect dri absorber..tpi service centre drag kes saya sampai last appoimnt utk servis thun ke 5..last2 diorg kata absorber saya dah ageing..🥲

Report to make that Branch in KPDN report list...u tanya kat KPDN dulu. Ingat! KPDN always support mangsa/pengguna. Solution dari KPDN terhadap Dealer mmg mantap. Kita tak tahu pasal Law..baik bertanya kat KPDN. Percayalah..hal yg susah tetiba jadi mudah.

A few years back I bought a Nissan sedan. Then the A pillar plastic cover twisted and cannot fit properly. Looks like defected part when they assembled it. I did not check properly when the car was delivered. They said I twisted it and had no warranty. So NVM no more Nissan that's all.

aku pakai proton je time servis dorg buat inspection cek headlamp ade msk air skit. aku x perasan pn terus dorg tukar baru kiri kanan claim waranty..suiz power window sangkut skit aku x kesah tp proton bg tukar y baru jugak lps tu brake drum,silinder etc semua dpt claim waranty dorg tukar bru jugak aku x mntk pn.. bergantung pd staf kot rajin atau mls buat keje

I pernah tegok mazda cx 5 baru masuk ada cbu dengan ckd dua2 beza paling ketara gap pintu hood depan 😅 cbu semua cun aja ckd yang banyak gap2 tak lurus so pasang kat malaysia ini kurang kualiti sikit nak murah kan.... lepas 1 tahun ckd dah improve banyak gap2 dia dah macam cbu jadi jangan beli kereta first batch sebab manufacturer malaysia tak pro lagi 😅

Ini pendapat saya sendiri, bukan nk tuju siapa2 atau nk berpihak siapa2. Sekadar nk kongsi apa yang saya faham. 1) Masa ambil kereta awal2 slps beli setiap customer kena buat inspection dan puas hati tiada masalah apa2, baru sign dan ambil kereta. Ada ke tiada masa itu line panel yg tk sekata? 2) Jika org langgar kita, memang betul bukan salah kita (tak sengaja). Dan betul boleh claim. Tapi bukan claim warranty. Claim insurans. Warranty adalah untuk defect dari pengeluar. Kes kena langgar oleh org lain, bukan defect manufacturer. Jadi, claim lah dari insurans. Sbb itu la ada insurans. Insurans cover 'kecelakaan'. 3) Untuk sesuatu panel kereta nk jadi bengkok atau 'warped', memerlukan hentakan luaran. Sekadar suhu yg tinggi samada dari kereta (engine and such) atau dr luar (suhu luar panas), tidak cukup untuk membengkokkan logam badan kereta. Kalau kes suhu panas luar atau enjin bole buat bengkok, dh lama dh semua kereta jadi keropok. Jadi, berubahlah menjadi pengguna yg bijak. Jgn sign tanpa baca. Terms and condition warranty tu yg korang sign masa ambil kete tu, baca. Panjang ke? baca lah. Biar la org kedai tunggu korang habis baca. Tak faham sebab English walaupun belajar English 11 tahun dari darjah satu sampai ting. 5? Takpe, korang suruh org kedai tu explain satu2. Itu memang kerja die. Nnt bila dh jadi, baru nk kata 'saya tak tahu' 'korang tak bgtau'. Jadilah orang bijak. AMBIL TAHU.

Dashcam toyota pernah rosak… 3 kali dtg tak boleh repair pun masalah sama rear camera disconnect chek wiring semua pun sama juga… toyota kalau boleh tak nak ganti… saya call HQ toyota malaysia buat aduan baru mereka buat claims warranty one to one… buang masa buang cuti saya ke toyota untuk warranty 😅

Ada tulis kat buku manual.biasa warannty 5 tahun enjin dgn gearbox saja lain2 part 1tahun.waranty pulak ada jenis unlimited ada yg tahun dengan milage,contoh 5 tahun atau 100k milage dahulu bermakna kalau dlm setahun baru pakai tapi dah jalan 100k kilometer bermakna warantty dah habis walaupun tak sampai 5 tahun lagi.unlimeted tak kira milage hanya ikut tahun saja.tapi hati2lah lagi2 bab servis.kalau ko lewat atau terlebih milage servis sikit pun servis kereta warannty boleh void jugak banyak dah terkena dah bila enjin breakdown nanti repair kena pakai duit sendirilah.servis kedai luar pun tak boleh kena servis kat penel atau sc sahaja kalau servis kedai luar kena void jugak.

Bagi saya waranti ini berguna untuk benda yang major teknikal dan mekanikal la.. kalau setakat body sikit-sikit calar sebab pintu tidak align betul tu minor sangat.. Kalau kena kotak transmisi defect tiba-tiba, enjin ada kebocoran kecil tiba-tiba, lower arm getah koyak ke, absorber mounting tetiba bunyi, waterpump bearing bunyi, motor kipas radiator perlahan ini semua boleh minta ganti sewaktu masih ada waranti.. Jadi pendapat saya waranti kereta ini bukan scam la.. cuma dia sebenarnya waranti terhad dan ada kondisi jugalah untuk minta ganti..

Aku pakai volkswagen warranty claim mmg terbaik.dah bnyk kali claim semua siap dlm 1-2 hari, even yg major part mcm mechatronic pun sekejap je settle..tahun2 last claim pun dapat..wife nk beli honda city,risau pla baca komen2 honda skrng susah nk claim warranty.

Kereta aq dah masuk 1 bln tak siap2 d Toyota..klu warinty memang ambil masa lama ke siap..gbkerja susah hantar budak sekolah pun susah ..bila call nanti dorg update brg belum sampai..klu beli brg kat negeri China pun tak lah lambat sampai ..tak tahu nak ckp MCM mna lgi d Toyota service

It depends on the situation, I used to claim push start button, engine starter, aircond blower and also power window for my honda city. No doubt service centre will try their best to deny your claim, even though its not user fault.

Lebih kurang mslh sy & sy beli mmg dlm tahun 2019…vios 2019 pintu sebelah driver mcm jatuh ckit,bila tutup mcm ketat atau mmg vios 2019 byk defect dr kilang yg mmg ssh nk nmpk oleh customer..??? hmmm..tp nasib dpt claim sb defect dr kilang..so dpt laaa repair tanpa ape2 bayaran..but bro xpe kadang2 bengkel luar pon byk jer yg expert juz kalo dr toyota sdr byk sgt dia punye kertas kerja hahahaha..tq for the info bro 👍👍

Dkt SC NK claim apa pun kena tgk2 Sama kereta Tu. kdg depa servis ja xtukar. Mcm KES Aku. Fan blower bunyi .SC buat apa tah senyap sat seminggu dua. Lepas Tu bunyi bising blik. 3 Kali claim waranti utk fan blower. Last2 call HQ. Smpai skrg senyap fan blower..

Itu fender yg clearance x betul...itu defect dari kilang. Cuba tgk clearance headlamp dengan fender..mest gap kiri kanan x sama. Kalau kat proton..x sampai 5 minit staff adjust fender...confirm clearance ok

Saya fhm dgn beberapa pendapat jrsong & betul kata dia pasal yg sebenarnya waranty 5 tahun tu bukan untuk semua. Tapi kita pun kena faham lah apa waranty tu dulu. Dia bukan semua benda rosak boleh claim. Kena fhm juga apa wear & tear item. Kalau semua benda waranty nk cover bankrupt lah semua brand kereta ni. Diorang buat bisnes bukan charity. Dorang bagi 5 tahun tu pun sebenarnya dh cukup berani dh. Yelah kalau kita fikir balik kereta kita tu tiap² hari gegar sana sini sbb permukaan jalan & kena hujan panas lagi, tak kira lagi pemandu yg ganas yg langgar jer lubang sana-sini. Barang kita yg kat rumah yg duduk satu tempat mcm tv/kipas/etc tu pun belum tentu dapat waranty 2 tahun.

Bro The warranty is just a sales gimmick, I bought my car in 2013 [Toyota Vios] and have sent warranty claims multiple times, but not even one month later, the problem has returned, and I have no idea what the purpose of the warranty is, even though it was not caused by customer error.

Senang cerita dia mcm "scam berlesen" , dorang cipta mcm2 terma dan syarat supaya dapat elak dri warranty claim. Masa kita sign ambil kereta tu, jika kita tak setuju term dia, kita mintak tukar term mereka takkan bagi pnya, walau term berat sebelah, kalau kita tak sign, x dpt la pakai kereta, pandai kan permainan mereka ?

These are the gimmick & hidden clauses which majority of car users are ignorant on. Most of the complaints are due to wear & tear which can't be claimed under warranty.

car warranty....really something concerning me..., just got my civic fresh, notice sponge was exposed under 1 side of the rear seat...., not sure if this can claim not....., i believe i did not caused this torn. IF Honda not allowed to claim...., it's really frustrating to me, then i'll just have to live with it, until times if i need to get help from those upholstery service sifu.

Haha..kena scam..mmg any cosmetic defect, x boleh claim..aku dh guna a few model, Nissan, Perodua & Honda..setakat hari ni..Nissan Tan Chong paling hampeh..keta aku setahun, 1st skirting retak, x bleh claim, bumper renggang, x bleh claim, transmission control module problem, 3 4 kali masuk centre..tggl keta naik Grab..pun x settle..last2 give up aku jual kereta

Bang, kalau manager SC tu baik dgn kau. dia buat je claimn report, janji submit ke toyota. Toyota nak rejek ke apa, tu no 2. Biasa dealer kecik bodoh sikit bab bisnes, dia lupa agaknya....kalau dia senangkan claimn....nanti customer tu akan loyal pada brand. Dgn honda, aku dapat.

i also got a bengkel yg boleh buat body and part.. dari hantar 4s punya service centre, dah la mahal.. lps tuh byk benda and lama nak tunggu.. kereta nak pakai.. hantar bengkel 2 hari siap..

Bro, bila masa you perasan problem kat pintu tu? Pelik jugak kan? Tak sama rata pintu, macam ada orang tekan pintu bengkok. Kadang servis centre atau kedai tayar buat onar, diaorang masa bawak kereta, akan buka tingkap dan sangkut letak tangan tekan pintu untuk tengok tayar depan kalau masuk nak naik ke skylift atau tempat balancing tayar

Tapi dia taknak bagitau, sbb dia sendiri pun tak tau yg kemik tu ke punca ke tak, tapi benda dah ada boleh guna jadi alasan, guna je la... untung-untung dapat user mcm ni tak yah proceed panjang2... jadi dia bagitau je ni user error tapi tak bagitau dekat mana error... lain kali mintak tunjuk bukti kenapa dia kata tu user error...
