My babysitter back in the 1970s was half Apache.she was old then. She had a box that had Geronimo shirt buttons. Geronimo would cut them off his shirt and sell them to tourist for a whole dollar. Her father was a boy on the same reservation as Geronimo. I feel lucky I got to touch the Great Warrior’s button.😊

It's a celebration of a young lady becoming a woman those song's are holy this is celebrated only once in her life time their are five dancers four of protect each corner of the earth and the last protects the center of the earth

The Apache Sunrise Dance is a four-day female coming-of-age ceremony, in which a girl temporarily becomes Changing Woman, the first lady and mother of her people. It is a significant and highly spiritual event for both the girl and the entire Apache community.
