That's a great little town. You can get a city permit for a golf cart and a lot of people just drive them around town. They have the Florida Seafood Festival first weekend in November and I'm going this year. Thanks for posting!

With some constructive criticism…. They have a golf cart in front of their house because its safe. That’s NOT the projects: is that your favorite word?

You said it, the panhandle version of Everglades City and a lil Moorehaven. Still looks pretty much the same as it did back in the early '90's when last I drove through. Old Florida time capsules, nice.

I wonder if empty lot ( opposite side of Burger king sign board) is where old Hut restaurant was located before destroyed by Hurricane. At original Hut restaurant, I ate out for the first time in Florida when I came to Florida for study in 1997.. When I visited this area again around 2002-3, I only saw damaged building ,,so sad.. Thank you for video.. I really appreciate your channel..

1834. American inventor Jacob Perkins, living in London at the time, built the world's first working vapor-compression refrigeration system

Next time you drive through, check out the John Gorrie museum to get this history on the invention of mechanical refrigeration.

It’s not that the water is “muddy”, it’s just the flow at that time that you’re filming. It is actually very pretty turquoise during the warmer months. Nothing Cuban about this area and most places are closed on Sunday as it’s part of Old Florida. You went right pass the Gibson Inn and Trinity Episcopal, both historic landmarks.

I think it looks a lot like Port Charlotte or Punta Gorda especially the part where you were leaving and coming up over the bridge to do so. Thanaks guys!

We love to swing over to Apalachicola whenever we spend a week at St George Island (once a year). Not only to go to the grocery store but also to spend a day dining in town, usually for oysters and beer. The Oyster City Brewery is pretty awesome, there’s usually a good gathering of locals and tourists hanging out there, everybody congregating and enjoying a cold beverage.

You will see a lot of poverty here when you get off the beaten track.
@KristaMiller5 ай бұрын
What’s “poverty” to some, is a rich life to many in my hometown of Apalach, and they wouldn’t trade places with many of the “richest”. That’s one of the beautiful things about life here - money isn’t the only thing that makes some of us rich, and that’s a great way of life. ❤
