So right now there's a temporary restraining order by the supreme court against the ombudsman filing charges. In the end it's a question of whether the supreme court will allow the ombudsman to file the charges with the sandiganbayan(anti-graft court) and when the sandiganbayan will give the order for the arrest. So it's not a question of when I think it is proper. Its a question of when the sandiganbayan will make the order if it does."

Arroyo, who took power on 20 January 2000 when Joseph Estrada was forced from office by huge protests over corruption allegations, realises she faces a massive task in trying to end the perception that cronyism is pervasive at the highest levels of government.

She is brilliant. At the time when the global recession was at its peak, the Philippines was doing well with a positive growth. Most of the outcomes of her fiscal policies are still felt today. She perceived that US had a shaky financial system before the recession, so she established an economic partnership with Russia and China without cutting ties with the US. Her economic reforms were painful and bitter at first but it is working well now. Wais siya, shallow minded lang ang di nakaka appreciate sa kanya.

Hindi ako economist.. college ako noong time ni GMA.. 2005 to 2009..kasagsagan ng financial crisis noong 2007 at 2008..sakto econ 1 at econ 2 subject ko noon..kung di dahil sa economic reforms nya..yung holyday economics.. ililipat yung holiday sa pinakamalapit na friday or monday para walang pasok direcho ng 3 days (moved holiday plus saturday at sunday)tipid sa kuryente at resources yon..EVAT..sa simula matindi..mataas bilihin pero in the long run yung impactin the long run maganda epekto hindi napuruhan ang ekonomiya noon, nakinabang pa si Pnoy.. katas ng polisiya ni pandak ang pinakinabangan ni panot.. May libreng kuryente noon sa less than 100 kwh (yata).sa amin noon na less than 300 pesos eh libre kasi gobyerno nagbayad..free power subsidy yata tawag doon..

She was brilliant. When the global recession hit, the Philippines was relatively doing well. When I was in 6th grade, her administration wanted to have National ID, kinulang sa suporta. I wrote an editorial piece about it. Then there was EVAT, I was a supporter of the policy when I was in high school even when critics ran propaganda against her. I knew it's going to help the country in the long run, the pain will be worth it even when we could barely eat decent meals back then. She wanted Cha-Cha, I wrote an editorial supporting it and won a competition. The constitution badly needs to be revised; so many of its provisions make it easier for some people to go around the laws of the land.

President Arroyo was actually a very good President. She may arguably be one of the best, in my opinion. From an economic standpoint, President Gloria Arroyo transformed the economic foundation of our economy from scratch, by creating new economic policies and such. Succeeding presidents are going to enjoy the fruits of labor that was created by the Arroyo administration, especially Noynoy since he inherited a good economy with a good margin from President Arroyo. That's why it's very disappointing of him to be needlessly badmouthing the Arroyo admin, and he's even grabbing the credit for an 'improved economy'. Kapal din mukha ni Noy eh! Because really, it was President Arroyo who laid the real economic groundwork for him and to future Presidents as well. After all, THE MOST important part of any country is the Economy.
