Question. How come if your on hydrant water you keep opening and closing the intake? Ate you just filling your tank constantly and flowing that line in tank to pump?
@Siteof4norfolk9 ай бұрын
As Americans don't know whwt thete doing as there fuckers
@joeywirt79539 ай бұрын
Just by watching it as a mechanic, My mind went to the hydrant is flowing at a faster rate so the tank overflows. I guess he could play the game of find that sweet spot until someone shuts the hose off or turns another one on and the problem resets. So I guess it's just easier to fill it, close it, empty it, and repeat
@matthewgjurkaj72919 ай бұрын
@@joeywirt7953 yeah but if he’s running directly into the pump from the hydrant, he shouldn’t half to have the tank fell open at all
@alexphillips43259 ай бұрын
They're using the pump to boost hydrant pressure normally, but when he needs to shut off the hydrant to change what stuff is attached to it, he switches to pumping water from the tank in order to make sure water flow is steady. Using the pump to boost hydrant pressure rather than filling the tank from the hydrant and pumping from the tank puts a lot less stress on the engine. Notice the engine winds up and runs faster when he starts pumping from the tank.

You will need a work visa OR full citizenship. I don’t know if anything you did in greece will count here. Getting a visa and citizenship is hard but good luck. You also need to know good english for it.

How come you keep opening/closing the intake valve and then doing the opposite with the tank to pump handle? (Open intake -> Close handle and vise versa). Does this change the discharge pressure of the truck or does it vary depending on each lines specific pressure? Obviously it is dept. specific with SOP and SOG’s but ours is full tank to pump/tank fill and then gauge pressure using the trucks built in system. Is this worse??
