hi friend~ last weekend i worked on my balcony! it's already august and i still haven't be able to sit on it... but now it's ready to be appreciated. maybe it's a good thing i waited bc it's been too hot to sit out there longer than 10 mins in the past months lol
i had such a difficult time figuring out how to decorate it, but i'm satisfied with how it turned out! flooring really does transform a space. thank you animal crossing for important life lessons.

This was so aesthetic! One quick tip from a gardener tho, when you are repotting plants, you need to gently tease and tear the roots at the bottom of the plant before you put it in a new pot. Otherwise the roots will stay in the same shape as the original pot and the plant won't grow as well!

One of the things my doctor told me when I was having hormonal acne breakouts was, believe it or not, sitting in the sun can help. That's not true for everyone of course, but maybe something to ask your dermo/doc about! Hey Annika!! just wanted to give you a tip for planting form a plant girly! Tip: When you plant anything pull on the bottom of the plant roots lightly to detach them from the dirt at the bottom it helps them grow into the other dirt you add to the pot :) Love your vids keep it upp!!

omg I love the patio aesthetic! 1 furniture tip for the raised bed box - when you build something upside down, make sure to tighten all the screws (or at least the important ones!) once you stand it right-side up! that might help with the wobble :)

Left over/wilted herbs can be used when mixing into a butter to make flavored butters that can be stored in the freezer for later so the herbs arent wasted and thrown away also you get fancy butter for meats and stuff

I adore your vlogs, they're so calming. Tips: The balcony is probably slanted slightly. Most builders do that for water control when it rains. When planting, break up the root ball by gently squeezing it after removing it from the planter. Basil is hearty and will survive a lot of sun exposure as long as you water it enough. If you're concerned with sun exposure, consider getting a small awning or umbrella you can take down and bring inside to go over them during the hottest parts of the day. -10 years with Home Depot and over 30 years of living in Texas and planting things! ❤❤

Nice vlog! One tip though, you don't want to plant flowers in ceramic vases like the one you had in the video because it has no holes for the water to drain out and the roots will be susceptible to root rot. Instead, you could keep the flowers in the disposable pot you bought them in, and simply drop that pot into the ceramic vase. That way, when you are watering them, you can take the pot out of the decorative pot and let the excess water drain out before popping them back in. I hope your flowers don't perish before reading my comment. Much love

My advice on the basil is make sure not to pick leaves unless they are dying first(if they are diseased don’t eat them!). When plants get big people assume it’s ok to just pick leaves, but the plant needs more leaves as it gets bigger because it needs more food to sustain itself. If you pick too many it will starve and die!! Wait for dying leaves and ones that have already fallen. Dry basil is just as good as fresh basil! Of course, it’s ok to pick once in a blue moon, but try not to pick a lot! My mom experienced that with her oregano plant😅
