I live here in Atlanta. I also worked Property Management and gated does not mean safe. Most criminal activity comes from with in the community.. Some areas are better than others. Always call your local department and request a Crime Static Report for the area. It’s public information. Good luck

@@moniquenicole641 Yes they are super expensive. I think 1 bedrooms are over 1500 dollars at some these apartments. They are building them all around me. I live close to the Braves minor league stadium. I’m truly blessed honestly. I bought my house before this craziness started. It was under $150k now worth almost 400k. I can sale and walk away with 300k + but I can’t buy anything in the metro area right now for that. Unless I go way way south or in the country somewhere. But even the country is expensive because so many people are moving further out. I wish this housing thing wasn’t so crazy right now. I’m thinking about making money off of it though, by making the basement a AIrBNB, peer or event space. Or even short term rental!

The cost of living has gone up tremendously everywhere. No matter where you look one bedroom apartments are STARTING at $1000+. Even if someone wanted to rent a house it’ll still be in the same price range or more. Some people may not want a house by themselves or may feel as if a house is too much space, it’s just all personal preference. If someone wants to rent then let them rent. Not everyone wants to purchase a home. 🙄

@dj.1094

Buying a home is a major purchase especially if you are not sure if you will settle in the area. With apartments you are paying for convenience. Texas apts can go up to 1900-2000 a month so 1500 sounds reasonable to me!

If you're not planning on settling down in a single area for at least several years, you're better off renting. With an apartment, you are usually getting a convenient location and at least one utility included in the rent. Sometimes you can also get great amenities like a swimming pool, fitness suite, etc.
