A short drive north you can find also Nocera Marina, which offers a number of local services including cafe bars, restaurants along with other amenities; shops, supermarket, post office etc. A weekly local market offers a variety of merchandise and products typical of the local area.
Within a short drive south is the town of Lamezia/Nicastro, where there is a vast array of amenities afforded by the principal town for the area together with a zone of archaeological interest and within easy reach is the thermal springs of Lamezia Terme - and Health Spa - La Caronte.
Other places of interest include the museum housing The Bronzes of Riace at Reggio Calabria. Reggio also has a beautiful beach front promenade with amazing views of Sicily, just across the Messina Straights. The quaint fishing village at Scilla is not too far as is Pizzo, famous for its sphere-shaped gelato - Tartufo di Pizzo!!
