I think the IKEA Hemnes or a similar shoe cabinet would work well in place of your current shoe rack. It has a furniture-like appearance and can hold up to 14 pairs of shoes.

First of all, Shannah, I agree with your reason to move. I moved in January from one building to another in the same apt complex. My old apt seemed dark and my neighbor was always smoking weed and it drifted into my space cuz I keep my windows open. I found a new space was coming open during my lease end date, so Virgo me got the property map out so I could see where this new apt was located. I liked what I saw. I moved up a floor to the 3rd and I have a view of outdoors and not a giant wall like my old place. I’m so happy for you!! I decided to buy a Simple Human trashcan in matte black to modernize my space more. My plastic Target can is going as soon as my SH can arrives. May I suggest Home Goods if you have one on the east coast. I shop there with a list because once I step inside, I forget what I was looking for because they have SO MUCH! You may find a cute nightstand or kitchen things. I love that store. Anyway, thank you for the update on your new space. I plan on purging this weekend, before Christmas and the new year. Happy shopping!
