the "gap" in the track needs to be on the bottom so you can use needle and thread to tighten the tracks and superglue to make the connection afterwards you can better mask the "wound" with mud and there is more tension on the tracks

This has been an interesting video to watch. I've only been assembling snapfit model kits before, and this certainly so much different than that. Maybe I should try it at some point though not exactly sure where to start.

There are good starter sets that include glue, paint and sometimes even tools. The model with it is usually very easy to build. This is usually a very good way to start.
