what does auto power off mean on the menu for set up? It is a confusing option -- it gives time choices and off. WHy wuld you set up a trail cam that turns off after 5 minutes?

Thanks for this great and easy to understand video, much appreciated. I was looking for an affordable outdoor cam to solve a little mistery. Something keeps knocking over the bird feeder in my moms garden, hopefully this cam will do the job.

Mine is working great for about 4 days then stops recording. Still looks like it works. Just doesnt record anymore. Has done this for three or four deployments now. No idea what is wrong. Have had it 3 or 4 years and love the camera and would like some ideas. SD card shows plenty of data left and battery power shows two bars. Could it be this "power saving mode?"

Have nt use dmine in 2 years and turned it on and it powered up but forgot my password. So I tried pressing Menu and Replay at the same time to try to reset it but now it wont turn on. Any suggestions? Batteries are new

This one misses a whole lot for me. I have mine set to record 30 second videos every minute and an entire jar of peanut butter was eaten 10 feet away straight across from it and I got 3 total videos 30-45 minutes apart. I've found over the last few weeks that it misses a whole lot of activity in this manner.

Is there any way to have it constantly record for a set amount of time? I thought if I set the time lapse setting to twenty minutes, it would record a twenty minute video but It didn’t do that, any help would be appreciated!

Good question! Unfortunately there is no way to record to a set period of time. You are limited to what options they provide to you. Your best bet if you are looking for that is to get a trail camera that has wifi and bluetooth. I have found those trail cameras can record for a lot longer through the app. However, by themselves, I have not found one yet that lets you record for a longer time than 20 minutes (through the app only and not automatically). And even at that, it breaks up the files. I am sure this isn't the answer you are looking for, but it's the truth. Hope this helps.

@@ParksNTech It’s for a research project. I’m at university and I’m doing a project with the rabbits there and needed to record them for a set amount of time. The camera they gave us, however, was one of this which wasn’t ideal and I had nothing else to use which is a shame. Thank you for the reply though.

Thanks for this video - I received this camera for Christmas but I find it hard to believe the trigger speed is really 0.5 seconds. Typically I am getting video of the rear end of an animal leaving the frame! How have you found this aspect? I am using it in the garden to film small wildlife like hedgehogs.

Thanks for the comment and the support! I sadly don't have a way to test the exact trigger speed, however an animal's speed in front of the camera can play a big part. Also, your sensitivity of the PIR sensors, too. Try setting it to high sensitivity, if you haven't already, and see of that helps.

Help please my camera only records for about a minute! I thought when it sensed motion it recorded through the night! what am I doing wrong?

It will only keep recording when you have the app open on your phone and you are connected to the wifi of the camera. When motion is triggered it records for how long you tell it to in the settings. I think the max might be 2 minute, but I could be wrong. I have mine set for 30 seconds.

If you forgot the password and need it reset, you will need to contact Apeman support. [e-mail] or [e-mail]. I assume it will involve connecting the camera to your computer and reflashing some firmware to unlock it. But that is only a guess. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Apeman support should get you squared away.

Apeman brand cameras are inexpensive. But I faced are 4 out of 10 cameras mulfunctioned within few weeks of trail use. 1. Menu malfunction, 2. Auto zoom mulfinction 3. Poor night vision 4. Leaking 5. Pink glare. 6. Broken battery hinge. I wrote to Apeman manufacturer directly and they replied I can't get warranty if I do not buy directly from them. They even claimed I bought imitation Apeman. Oh man, its common we buy cams from local resellers to avoid the hassle and waiting time. Just my 2cents worth of feedback to warn would be buyers
