It's kind of easy to figure out , I learned this in the late 70's on a Canon ae-1 with a simple light meter . I still have the camera today , it still takes amazing pictures .

Thank you man, for a long time i was trying to understand what really aperture is and what it does. finally i ended up here and felt amazing because now i really know what that thing does, and what is more interesting is that tomorrow i'm having a job interview as a communication intern and i'm sure they will ask me about the aperture, ISO and Shutter speed, if i answer all of them correctly and get that job, man i want you to know that your videos just did't get many views but also made a big change to someone's life. thanks again and keep up the good work.

Your video is exactly what I was looking for all along I just started photography about 4 months ago and I’ve been using the auto features I take nice pics in that setting but I wanted further my learning and my picture qualities and actually learn my cameras I have the sony a6000 this was a great overall video for learning about the aperture and what role it plays in picture taking

Oops I guess I watched too many photography videos I knew almost everything 😂 but I really have to focus on the part where you said first set the aperture, then iso and shutter speed. I always began with the iso because I don't want too much noise 😂

I use to worry about ISO noise too and seemed to only make it worst when adjusting that variable was my first priority. Then i moved to shutter speed first and ISO auto which was a lot better. After watching Ben I'll now set the f-stop first then the shutter speed then the ISO. I usually have ISO in auto since the camera can judge that variable pretty well but the f-stop and shutter speed the camera doesn't know I'm shooting a tiny bird in flight or water movement. I do better when the process is organized in a linear way and not equally valued.

Only change the F numbers first if the subject is still. If your subject is moving then first thing u need to change is shutter speed. If the subject is still and if you are shooting in M mode. Then first set the F number as per the lighting condition, then bring the exposure needle in center by changing the shutter speed. Last will be the ISO and make sure your ISO is set on 100 the min and not on auto. F numbers are mostly used for depth of field. If the f number is smaller shallow is the depth of field, blur will be background. If the f number is greater , great will be depth of field, sharper will be the background.
