Apex Legends Added A PC Aim Assist Mode On Console! (Default vs PC)

Have you noticed a new aim assist setting that is available within the advanced look control tab of the apex legends controller settings menu? If so, and you are wondering if you should use default or PC for the aim assist setting of choice then you should watch this video.

When I switched to pc aim I was amazed by how much freedom I had at aiming. Tracking your enemies is so much easier and my aim was so much better without default.

I love using the PC aim assist. Standard pulls a bunch like focusing aim assist on call of duty. PC aim assist is just more precise. It doesn’t pull as much and you have to be able to track your targets. It’s a mix between help and needing to actually use your skill

I believe this is true as well. I tried playing with no aim assist whatsoever for a while and while hard, (and obviously realized how bad I was) it gave a lot more freedom with tracking and stuff. PC AA feels a lot more smoother to me, balanced

If you want it to feel like mnk freeness but with controller, try linear response curve, if you get used it to, you will see improvement in your aim and recoil control, trust

I think the pc aim assist was added to help you get better against pc controller players or fighting against the aim assist, I prefer no aim assist since its what I played it in overwatch and I feel like driving a manual while using no aim assist

It's very odd how no matter what gun you pick up even on the fly, the recoil never waivers, like a laser. I've been playing shooters for years and that's really difficult to do with controller. In fact back in the day you used to have to burst fire your gun on enemies that were too far away because of how hard it is to do, and yet so many streamers and youtubers seem to all have the same laser like absolutely perfect recoil control with every single gun, amazing right? Almost as if there is something assisting them.

randomly switching the settings, I love the PC over default. At close range default works great (too close if you ADS its hard to track). PC overall seems so nice and consistent. Then after practicing with PC AA, swapping to default feels strong. I like more control over the aim assist, therefore I prefer PC aim assist

OK now here me out, because I mostly train using the moving targets in training arena which don't have aim assist, all those micro adjustments that I do and my muscles remember are lost when I aim at the dummies. Or so it seems to me, so when I switched to pc it felt the same as the moving targets especially when using the flatline.

It’s way easier to aim on a mouse, on a controller you only use one finger to control aim, while on pc you use your entire arm

Either way bullets sometimes don't hit even if you are on target, I've seen it happen when spectating others too, mainly long range fights

Less aim assist is better for your aim, I’ve made the transistion to PC and to mnk and I have no bias towards one or the other but, less is more in this case, you need to build good muscle memory for recoil control, personally in this game if you can get good at aiming, you can aim great in other games so I’m fully dedicated to mnk since being back and forth for months about it hasn’t helped me improve as much as I could be

I have tried it and pc aim assist is fairly bad for smgs, shottys. I had no chance against other console players who kept slaying me round after round. It did give me better long range aim. I as a console player strongly believe that aim assist should be nerfed atleast to 0.5. (no i have never used mouse and keyboard enough to really be supportive of the pc fanbase, i have been using alc for quite a long time and this decision is unbiased.)

I think pc is just slowing down less buts It’s better for me it’s smoother I use like 140/ 130 horizontal ads. for me it’s better if I use r99 or volt don’t know why. If people use 10 response cure I would take the pc aim assist its better. I can use the 301 for middle range without any aim assist. Weird man I don’t know. I can also play better without aim assist if I’m using linear what I’m not doing but still weird.

Bro, trust me and go: Non-ads:4 Ads:3 Response curve: Classic. If you're playing PS or Xbox make sure the deadzones for your L2-R2 and movement are as low as possible. Get used to those and I promise you'll see improvement.
